Jennifer Love Hewitt In Paule Ka – Art Of Elysium “Heaven” Gala

Jennifer Love Hewitt would’ve turned a few heads at the Art Of Elysium “Heaven” Gala in LA last night.

Call me crazy, but there is something about her Paula Ka Black Carpet Collection gown that I actually like.

Her black strapless gown with an exaggerated white bow detail does look like the model is about to give birth to 10lbs of white satin, but it’s something different and unpredictable from Jennifer.

It not safe and boring like most of her usual red carpet looks.

The look was complete with a chic updo and a Kelly Locke ‘Mimi’ clutch.

Call me whatever u want, but she looks gorgeous! The smile, the attitude..so sassy and different!

I’ve always thought that Paule Ka’s designs were a bit on the quirky side. I tried to like this looks but I just can’t. I can appreciate uniqueness but wearing this gown doesn’t do anything at all for her. It’s like a reverse kimono with an oversized bow…or it looks like she has a folded table cloth that’s hanging from her dress.

Yep, looks like a waitress getting ready to set up tables with 2 tablecloths under her belt.
Love big bows, but this one is not doing it for me.

I feel the same way, a part of me likes it but there’s still that part of me that wonders what made her wear something like this.

Yeah I agree, it’s a great look for her and I’m so glad she showed restraint hair, make up and accessories wise. Her boobs are very distracting tho but she does look good. I’m impressed!

I almost like this look – its not boring for a b&w. But I think I would have loved it if there was just 1 asymmetrical bow like how it looks on the model.

    you’re crazy :DDD
ı dont like,ı think this dress like a joke

  7. Lee Ann January 16, 2011 at 15:15 #

There is something I like about it too but I would never where it.

    • Linda January 16, 2011 at 15:44 #

Exactly what I was thinking. The concept is good, but the white bows folded down like that throw it off.

    • Lee Ann January 16, 2011 at 15:47 #

      I mean wear it

I applaud her bold choice, but the result is just too weird.
The bow seems limp and sad, especially after the top part apparently passed away.
It makes the whole look seem heavy and more ridiculous than it already was to begin with.

    Eh… no. Sorry, Jennifer!

OMFG Jennifer! that’s what you mean! haha
      she’s done better before..

The model may be giving birth to 10lbs of white satin but I think Jennifer’s having twins. ;)

I don’t know why but I LOVE this. She’s glowing + the hair and make-up are perfect.

She also looked good at the BAFTA Los Angeles 17th Annual Awards Season Tea Party.

I really hope she continues the good run at the GG.

One of those dresses that makes you go hummmm – I don’t hate it, I just don’t think she carries it quite off…..still, I’m entertained as opposed to repulsed.

  13. pipsqueak January 16, 2011 at 16:54 #

I like it, too! I’m also surprised that it looked so good on a small person like her. She clearly pulled it off.

  14. Iris January 16, 2011 at 17:18 #

Ill fitted — her boobs are spilling out.

I like Jennifer Love Hewitt because I grew up with her and she has a girl-0next-door aurora that is nice, but she is no a fashion icon and that is okay. She looks fab here and she never looks controlled by a stylist. This is unusual so she get’s points form me.

Just say no to oversized bows on your stomach ladies.

  17. Tania January 16, 2011 at 22:01 #

This is exactly what you should do with clothes, have fun!

  18. amber January 16, 2011 at 22:50 #

not a good dress.. just no

  19. KateS January 16, 2011 at 23:31 #

I almost like it for not being boring, but the boobs and saggy satin are just too much here.

  20. mochababe73 January 17, 2011 at 07:40 #

The bust is too small. I applaud her for taking some risks, but I absolutely hate this dress on her. She’s too short.

  21. D January 17, 2011 at 11:56 #

like this dress too. dont think she had the attitude to pull this off…..

  22. Lils January 17, 2011 at 16:02 #

It’s weird but I kind of like this look. Daring choice and her makeup and hair are gorgeous
