Most Daring/Best Newcomer Award
Jennifer Lawrence is nominated at tonight’s 2011 Golden Globe Awards in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama category for her star-making role in “Winter’s Bone.”
For a first timer at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, I gotta say she knocked it out of the ball park.
She made her boldest statement yet wearing a Louis Vuitton flamenco style gown as she walked the red carpet.
This look could’ve come off a tad costumey with the cascading ruffles, but she pulls it off with great aplomb.
Chopard jewels, a Judith Leiber clutch and Roger Vivier black heels completed her look.

My first best dressed!
Perfection! Love this girl.
She is literally flawless. Gorgeous and definitely brave dress, which she pulls off to perfection. The heels are beautiful ,but do not detract from the dress, her hair and makeup are jsut divine, her clutch is too. I love the confidence she exudes too. I fell sorry for anyoen else walking, because I am head over heels in lvoe with this. The first BDOTY worthy outfit i have seen in the first two indredible weeks of 2011. There are no words.
I don’t want to go to bed! This look makes me wants to see what coming even more..
I need ot do statistics homework and wake up at 6 am. I am actually going to be dead tomorrow at school I cannot sleep!
Hahaha, that’s exactly what this made me think! It’s honestly amazing, she shows how black/monochrome dresses don’t have to ever be boring. What a great choice.
agreed!!
Love Love Love! Louis Vuitton done right!
oh my god! this is amazing, I wasn’t really being blown away by her till now – holy hell!
I LOVE the shoes, the hair and the earrings. I’m not really a fan of flamenco like dresses, but as you say, FC, she managed to not make it costume-y – maybe it’s th color? – and looks vry polished.
I don’t like this dress…it just looks unfinished.
Saw it from another angle and it looked better, not as unfinished.
This girl gets better in the red carpet!!! I love everything.
Amazing!! I’m not a fan of LV but this look is WOW
the straps bother me, they are too thick without them i would be loving it.
Register me as a fan for sure with this, love everything, a difficult dress pulled off with ease, and i am thankful for the perfect final touch shoes – a head to toe a winner!
I agree, it’s a tricky look pulled off with aplomb and great accessories!
Love it love it love it!
OMG. She looks incredible. This is a sensational showing for what has been a great promotional tour from her.
i fully agree!!!a great interesting look!
Stunning! This girl is only 20, but I love her poise and grace. She totally pulled off the dress. Her height helps. Oh … fingers crossed for her tonight!
As others have said, this is definitely one of the best looks we’ve seen so far. The whole outfit ties together perfectly, from the hair and makeup, to the shoes. The big, pouffy, princess ballgowns tired and conventional compared to this.
Beautiful!! This dress is sooo different!! She knows how to pull it off, but i would change the hair!
Incredible! She looks incredible!
love the dress but hate the shoes
Too much ruffles eventhough she looks beautiful and carry this dress well but she won’t be on best dress list for sure.
I thought Leighton would wear this as Jennifer takes a more classic and ladylike approach but this is fab.
I can’t believe that I am saying this, but I really, really, really love this dress. It’s showstopping.
I’m really not that impresses about this dress.
its bold and hard to pull off but she worked it!!! good shoes.
I hate this dress it looks like crow’s feathers that have fallen in sugar!
