Jennifer Lawrence In Louis Vuitton – 2011 Golden Globe Awards

Most Daring/Best Newcomer Award
Jennifer Lawrence is nominated at tonight’s 2011 Golden Globe Awards in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama category for her star-making role in “Winter’s Bone.”

For a first timer at the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, I gotta say she knocked it out of the ball park.

She made her boldest statement yet wearing a Louis Vuitton flamenco style gown as she walked the red carpet.

This look could’ve come off a tad costumey with the cascading ruffles, but she pulls it off with great aplomb.

Chopard jewels, a Judith Leiber clutch and Roger Vivier black heels completed her look.

She is literally flawless. Gorgeous and definitely brave dress, which she pulls off to perfection. The heels are beautiful ,but do not detract from the dress, her hair and makeup are jsut divine, her clutch is too. I love the confidence she exudes too. I fell sorry for anyoen else walking, because I am head over heels in lvoe with this. The first BDOTY worthy outfit i have seen in the first two indredible weeks of 2011. There are no words.

Hahaha, that’s exactly what this made me think! It’s honestly amazing, she shows how black/monochrome dresses don’t have to ever be boring. What a great choice.

  7. Raquel January 16, 2011 at 23:40 #

I LOVE the shoes, the hair and the earrings. I’m not really a fan of flamenco like dresses, but as you say, FC, she managed to not make it costume-y – maybe it’s th color? – and looks vry polished.

I don’t like this dress…it just looks unfinished.

    • Jones19 January 16, 2011 at 23:49 #

Saw it from another angle and it looked better, not as unfinished.

  9. Mel January 16, 2011 at 23:47 #

  10. Marvel January 16, 2011 at 23:48 #

  11. robbie January 16, 2011 at 23:53 #

the straps bother me, they are too thick without them i would be loving it.

  12. mol January 16, 2011 at 23:58 #

Register me as a fan for sure with this, love everything, a difficult dress pulled off with ease, and i am thankful for the perfect final touch shoes – a head to toe a winner!

    • KateS January 17, 2011 at 06:45 #

I agree, it’s a tricky look pulled off with aplomb and great accessories!

    • chryssa January 17, 2011 at 01:08 #

i fully agree!!!a great interesting look!

  15. pipsqueak January 17, 2011 at 00:35 #

Stunning! This girl is only 20, but I love her poise and grace. She totally pulled off the dress. Her height helps. Oh … fingers crossed for her tonight!

  16. msd January 17, 2011 at 00:48 #

As others have said, this is definitely one of the best looks we’ve seen so far. The whole outfit ties together perfectly, from the hair and makeup, to the shoes. The big, pouffy, princess ballgowns tired and conventional compared to this.

  17. Martin January 17, 2011 at 01:00 #

Beautiful!! This dress is sooo different!! She knows how to pull it off, but i would change the hair!

  18. Amanda January 17, 2011 at 01:51 #

    Incredible! She looks incredible!

  19. rebecca January 17, 2011 at 02:34 #

love the dress but hate the shoes

  20. Elle_gb January 17, 2011 at 03:05 #

Too much ruffles eventhough she looks beautiful and carry this dress well but she won’t be on best dress list for sure.

  21. Ethne Blist January 17, 2011 at 04:12 #

I thought Leighton would wear this as Jennifer takes a more classic and ladylike approach but this is fab.

  22. mochababe73 January 17, 2011 at 07:24 #

I can’t believe that I am saying this, but I really, really, really love this dress. It’s showstopping.

  23. Andreea January 17, 2011 at 10:54 #

I’m really not that impresses about this dress.

  24. D January 17, 2011 at 11:47 #

its bold and hard to pull off but she worked it!!! good shoes.

  25. Lils January 17, 2011 at 16:14 #
