After spending the holiday period on a beach topping up her tan in Miami, Chloe Sevigny was back to work on the red carpet last night.
She attended the LA Premiere of HBO’s “Big Love” Season 5 wearing a Rodarte Spring 2011 halter dress.
This is my first big ‘yes’ for 2011.
Yes she wore an interesting look many others wouldn’t dare to wear with such confidence and YES to those stunning Christian Louboutin ‘Salsbourg’ heels.
Finally a star that’s not afraid to step out of the comfort-zone of black and nude pumps.
Chloe’s blue and white printed dress with a cut-out detail at the waist was styled with curly locks, red lippie, a Lucifer Vir Honestus rose gold and diamond frog ring and a silver Judith Leiber clutch.
Definitely a BDOTW contender for me.

What about you?

I love it especially the shoes! one of the BDOTW for sure!
its very shower curtains for me, but I do love the shoes!
me too
I can’t get over how the fit around her boobs are off.
In my eyes, she can do no wrong. She’s fearless and her confidence makes her look so beautiful. Thumbs up for me.
Agreed! And she is the one person who I pictured pulling off this Rodarte collection.
the print is *gorgeous*
I just cant like this look. The print is nice but the cut is all types of wrong. The shoes are cute but thats the only nice thing about this look.
I totally agree. I want to love this look because I think that Rodarte did some incredible things with the Spring/Summer 2011 collection, but this just looks messy and unfocused on Chloe. Even the shoes aren’t working for me. Such a shame.
I love this look but i am not feeling the hair !
I so agree. The hair fails the look
Perfection! this is the kind of looks u only get from someone as bold and confident as Chloe…
Only one thing is missing.. a nice pedicure!
I kinda like the lack of colour on her toes
its a daring decision from a daring woman and it doesn’t attract attention away from the heels. i’m in love with this look
Me too – I like the no color on the toes, which seem well manicured, just not painted.
I have a serious girl crush on Chloe now. Love it.
mmmm… is a NO NO for me. The shape of the dress and that weird curls in the hair are not to my taste.
a big NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO your right! don’t even like the shoes, I hate even the lipstick!!! it’s better being at home in my pajama than in the red capet with that disaster!!
You said it perfectly! I think it’s a horrid combination!
I’m more in love with the print and the shoes than the actual style of the dress. But because its Chloe Sevigny it works lol.
The only thing I really dislike is her hair; it looks off to me for some reason.
I love this!! Don’t like her hair though.. think it kinda spoils the look :S
Exactly! The hairdo is horrible.
gorgeous print and i love how the red on the shoes is matching her lips. but i just cant like it, a lot going on not sure if it really worked.
I’m not a fan of the print nor the cut of this dress on Chloe. Looks so much better on the runway. Kudos for the shoe choice though.
I really love this look, the dress and the shoes are amazing together!
The only thing I dislike is the hair
the dress and the shoes are haute and i am so glad that you gave us a close up of the shoes but now i just want to grab a bottle of polish and paint her toes. i am not a fan of naked toenails. oh yeah the hair needs more edge and less soccer mom.
I didn’t like this on her at all. Apart from the shoes which I love, everything else was a little off. I really hate the hair and lipstick, and to me the dress did not flatter her well – especially from a side angle.
I like the dress, but I don’t care for her hair. It’s too cutesy for me.
So ghetto…
I like this on her. She makes this work.
This is a no for me.
The hair is insane, I hate the cut of the dress and while the shoes could work, the animal print kills them.
The only thing I enjoy about this look is that it’s Chloe we’re talking about.
Perfect, head to beautiful toes. I adore that ring, and all other quirky rings (Ultimate wishlist item is the boucheron hedgehog ring – gorgeous!), the shoes are beautiful, the hair is so lovely and shiny, the lipstick is gorgeous, and the rodarte is amazing beyond words. What a wonderful start to the year we are having – you were right FC, so far 2011 is better than 2010!
I hope it a goon sign for the golden globes
FC do you have any wishlist for the globes?
The season is so long that a globes dress can end up at the SAG awards so I prefer to have a wish list for the season
I hope that u can share it with us
many ppl on this blog will be ecstatic
Ok, I know its LA, but does anyone care that its January and she looks like she’s going to a pool party??
I totally agree with you, instead of the purse she could have a drink in her hand, as I wrote in my comment, that dress seems a sarong.
with shoes as pretty as these, why does almost everyone goes for black and nude pumps or sandals?
these shoes I understand are more daring, but there is SO much to choose from! I do not visit many blogs, but I know that there are some fashion blogs dedicated just to shoes, and I bet there are so many gorgeous options.
Sometimes I look at the black/nude shoes worn at premieres and then I look to the right of the screen in your blog, FC, where you put some ads and the shoes are prettier,I just cannot understand! if there were mor like JLO and her fablulous animal print shoes and others like Chloe,
sorry for my rant
Rants on poor shoes choices by celebs are always welcome
I love daring looks but i didn’t like that dress.
But I’m in love with the shoes.
This looks more like beach wear.
I love the shoes. I actually like the dress, but it’s not spring so I can’t really wrap my brain around this. Like Rachel Adams, she just looks cold.
The cutout makes me hate the dress. Love the shoes though.
I know I am way late to this post but I had to comment. This was my favorite dress from the Rodarte collection and I was imagining all of the different ways I would style it. I kid you not I imagined pairing it with those exact shoes and a similar colored clutch. This is my BDOTW I’m glad to see someone as cool as Chloe rocking my dream outfit.
I don’t like it. The hair and lipstick are hidious.
I don’t like this look, maybe because I don’t like the shoes, tha hair is terrible, for me. I appreciate her for being daring but I don’t like her choice. On her, this dress seems a sarong.
I know I’m very late with this comment but I absolutely adore this look and those shoes are delicious. Definitely approve of this look , i’m a big fan of Chloe Sevingy usually she always has that androgynous look going on so it’s nice to see something different.
