It’s not often we see Jennifer Garner on the red carpet, but she looked beautiful at the 2011 National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Gala in New York City last night.
The actress wore a Roland Mouret Fall 2010 dress with black Louboutin pumps.
Her structured sophisticated vibrant magenta wool-crepe dress is artfully draped and has folded detailing.
I would have preferred this signature sculpted dress to be worn with neutral sandals, but black pumps will forever be a red carpet trend no matter how many times I moan about them.
Glossy wavy locks and a silver bracelet completed her look.

I dont mind the black pumps as they fade into the background. In fact I would have preferred black over cream/beige pumps
i wish she would have worn a belt with the dress to give it more shape but the colour is gorgeous.
I love the runway look, but not on Jennifer.
I love this dress on her but the shoes are very blah! and I normally don’t mind black pumps.

Rachel Zoe is her stylist. Rachel has more pumps than just black. Shame on Rachel. Fuchsia and black don’t go together anyways in my mind.
Okay, we seriously need to do a campaign thing “STOP wearing black pumps – they got OUT of style in 2010″.
And I am totally serious about this. I am tired of seeing ugly heavy black pumps paired with every single dress on the red carpet. It’s just so unoriginal.

Jennifer continues to bore me on the red carpet. This look is boring. Her hair is boring. The black pumps are boring. Her make-up is even boring.
Jennifer is such a natural beauty, and I would love to see her in something totally unexpected.
Now, the runway version is daring, but I understand why she didn’t wear it that way.
