I can imagine that this will be the marmite look of the 2011 People’s Choice Awards.
You’ll either love it or hate it.
As usual Leighton Meester was the only one to give us something totally different on the red carpet.
No ruffles, no gowns, no minis, no sequins, just a laid-back unpretentious Vionnet Spring 2011 grey ensemble with a floral embroidered print.
Leighton paired her dress with lavender Brian Atwood ‘Elle’ heels and gorgeous orange Cathy Waterman statement earrings.
I love this refreshing look and I’m already excited to see what she wears next.

I’m a bit dissapointed on the shoe choice, but I can easily skip that part and start talking about how much I love Leighton for always bringing something different to the red carpet. It is so refreshing to see something different after all this pictures featuring similar designers.

Not feeling this look I’m afraid, have seen her look far more appealing, this looks like casual Summer wear to me….
Agree-still way too casual for any kind of awards show. Looks more like she happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to drop in. Make-up, shoes and earrings push this into ‘Hate it’ for me. Dress looks to be grey sweatshirt material. She doesn’t have to wear a gown, but dressing up a sweatshirt doesn’t cut it.

I just love Leighton for always bringing something new and fresh. This dress is lovely and it looks lovely on her. Just like you FC I cannot wait to see what she’ll bring us in 2011 because she’s always interesting and unpredictable. To be 100% fair, I think make up could be a little bit lighter but other than that it’s one of my favourites at ths event.
I saw her in Versace Cruise Collection 2011 @Jay Leno Show and she was quite new and fresh

I have to admit that I usually don’t like Leighton (don’t hate me, FC!), but I do really like this dress. My only complaints are that I think it may be a little too long on her, and maybe a touch on the too casual side for this event.

I LOVE her! Easily the best dressed of all the GG girls, and probably the bes dresed of young hollywood. I love this dress, it is almost as amazing as her louis V (i hope) look from the past peoples choce awards, which made BDOTY. I LOVe it BDOTW! She is gorgeous, her earrings are painfully beautiful.
I think she looks great in the dress, but not for an awards show. I know People’s Choice isn’t as formal as other awards shows, but this look would be better for a summertime shopping spree or a picnic in a park.
I love it! And even if some people say she was dressed down for the event, she didn’t walk the blue carpet or win anything, she was on stage for like… 10 seconds, lol. This is fantastic. Make-up & hair are just flawless!

I love Leighton’s hair and earrings with this cute outfit, which is just a little baggy on her around the waist – when she presented with Minka it looked like she had a third saggy boob thing going on…..Still, I love the way she surprises me….
I love the dress – Leighton looks wonderful in it. Personally, I wish she had worn the cute bow belt with it too but I understand that perhaps she did not want to copy the look from the way it was presented,

It’s cute and fresh. I love the hair and the earrings. I also love the way she tied the belt as opposed to the model’s bow. I would have loved to see some other shoes, though, yellow or orange sandals for example.

I LOVE IT!!! I love Vionnet, even if this dress is quite different from the usual dresses of the brand. It’s so cute, so fresh and original. The only thing that doesn’t convince me it’s her make up. This is a great choice, I’m so tired of all those very young girls dressed like they were 50 years old, with tons of gold, jewellery and black pumps.
i don’t hate it but i wish she had opted for the same heels as on the model.

Considering the fashion and styling alone, Leighton is always interesting and stands out among the Hollywood crowd. The thing is, I think the main reason she tries so hard with her clothes is because she is decidedly unremarklable in almost all other aspects. The fact is, she is not eccentric or beautiful enough to truly pull this off.
