Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: December 2010

Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel, and Blair Underwood were up early this morning to announce the 2011 Golden Globe Awards nominations at the Beverly Hilton in LA.

I’m very jealous that Katie is in the presence of two sexy Hollywood actors.

For once I didn’t get a sense that Katie had aged herself with this look.

She wore an ivory Azzaro knitted dress paired with on trend nude Jimmy Choo ‘Lilac’ pumps.

Her ivory and navy striped dress has short puffball style sleeves, a square neckline and a pleated skirt.

For the first time in a long time Katie gives us a chic and stylish look.

Yesterday Gwyneth Paltrow became the latest star to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

I was quite shocked that the Oscar winner didn’t have one already.

She opted for a chic white Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 dress.

The scallop-edged corseted lace dress with a cut out detail was stunning on her, but I wish she’d kept that subtle ribbon waistband.

It looks so pretty on the model.

The only thing I really didn’t like about this look was Gwynie’s hair. For someone so polished it looked super frizzy and those bobby pins aren’t keeping it flat.

Blush Pierre Hardy sandals completed her look.

Christina Ricci always makes me take notice when she’s on the red carpet.

A lot of critics slammed Zac Posen’s Spring 2011 collection, but I absolutely loved it.

Christina looked amazing wearing a Zac Posen ombre and lace halter dress to the 2010 New York Stage And Film Winter Gala this week.

She totally works this look with her sexy pose, sultry smoky eyes and perfect pout.

Even with those played out YSL Tribtoo patent leather pumps she still gets a 10 out of 10 from me.

Michelle Williams has attended more “Blue Valentine” screenings than I’ve had hot dinners recently, but it’s yet another opportunity to see her in a pretty dress so I’m not complaining.

For this particular screening New York City last night, Michelle wore Christian Dior white strapless mini dress.

The actress has been wearing a lot of cream, ivory and white looks lately, so I’m glad she opted for purple Charlotte Olympia pumps.

Hopefully next time out we can see her explore other colours, as the winter white look is becoming a bit boring.

Despite the fact that we’ve called for these Julien Macdonald Fall 2010 gowns to be retired from the red carpet do to over exposure, Cher wore a black long sleeve version to the “Burlesque” London Premiere last night.

The diva walked the red carpet most of the time wearing a leather jacket, but for a brief moment removed it to reveal her black, nude, and navy Julien Macdonald gown with lace detailing.

For a 64 year old woman you’ve gotta admire her for still being able to wear this type of look on the red carpet, especially as she swapped her trademark black wigs for a daring flame coloured wig.

Kristen Bell had two looks on the red carpet for last nights “Burlesque” London Premiere.

I mostly only saw her sensibly wearing a white Stella McCartney coat, which could’ve easily worked as a dress with a structured skirt.

In the picture above you can see she wore a Stella McCartney volume back dress from the Resort 2011 collection.

Her adorable botanical print dress was paired with eggplant satin Salvatore Ferragamo pumps.

I think she only removed her coat for about 2 minutes for these photos.

The things us girls have to do for fashion.
