I love Rachel but I will never understand the love for her Oscar dress. It’s pretty but so boring and basic and looks like something you would wear to a wedding or a prom. She didn’t style it very excitingly either.
Zoes was my favorite by lightyears

What a completely fabulous list! Good on emma for being the only one not in a gown or logn dress. I am shocked at Leighton, because altough I loved this look, I remember many of the comments saying otherwise! Each and every look is fabulous. WEll done on compiling it so fast FC, thankyou it has been a great year!

Fan Bing Bing in dragon robe was my best dressed so I’m glad she made the 6th spot! Also, 5 looks in the top 10 were looks I voted for! 
For me,Emma,Rachel and Leighton shouldn’t be on that list . In their places I would have put Kristin Davis in the pink vintage dress,Dannii Minogue in her J’Aton Couture and Natalie Portman in Rodarte at Cannes.
Fan BingBing is MY BEST DRESSED OF THE YEAR.
To me # 1- Zoe Saldana and #10- Cate Blanchett. I’m sorry I’m just not a fan of that dress.

i’m sad i didn’t get the chance to vote (i was too late and the poll was already closed). but i’m glad that the list looks great anyway. i only don’t find Rachel’s dress spectacular (it’s really pretty however i’m not blown away) and Diane’s (i just hate the mustard yellow, she had many great looks i would have picked instead). i’m also surprised Salma in her burgundy Gucci gown didn’t make even top 20. but theres no chance to please everyone, right?
The list is great minus Gwyneth Paltrow and Leighton Meester IMO but the other looks were so well deserved i loved Miranda Kerr in Prada resort 2010 going to get her license renewed

LOVE THIS LIST. Diverse and interesting choices, like Fan Bing Bing and Ksneia Solo, since they’re under the radar and not many year end lists would have them in but their looks easily take huge slices of the Best Dressed cake.
I picked Cate’s look, but I wished I could have voted for Fan Bing Bing too, she was FLAWLESS this year.
Oh and I can’t wait to see your list, I’m sure you’ll have very interesting choices too!
even now i can’t understand the appeal of #9, i still think it looks like a fishing net on top and a bunch of pink barnacles on her lower half lol. all the others here are well deserved
Emma Watson had one good outfit so I don’t think she should be on there and Leighton’s best outfit for me was that suit she wore but otherwise this is a pretty good list. Still in love with Fan and Zoe and Cate’s gowns. They are works of art.
Diane looks great, very statuesque.
Leighton’s number 9 just goes to show how many people read the blog but don’t comment, because as i recall many didn’t like it. I had a hard time before i made my first comment, now i would say something on every post:D.
Anyway, congrats FC for the hard work and the talent. I’m always amazed when you identify a black dress(as they are very similar, especially on the red carpet where the details are kind of lost) or a less known designer, like lady Gaga’s dress from yesterday or Danni Minogue’s choices.

The only look look I’m side-eyeing is Emma Watson’s. She looked lovely but not bdoty worthy imo.
The list just goes to show just how much personal taste comes into this. To me the Cate Blanchett dress at #1 looks like stiff upholstery fabric. I also wonder how much of a factor the person wearing the dress is when making our choices. Anyway, it is all fun and not to be taken too seriously.

it’s interesting because if u go to decades inc’s blog u can see that cate wore the dress backwards, so her sense of style is key factor in her being on the list! it took me a while to like the look on her but now i do

Eeek…the only gowns I like are 1, 6, 7 and 10. I dislike 3 and 4 and I REALLY dislike 9, it’s really terrible!!! I guess each to their own…

I have really mixed feelings about some of these, but I adored #1,2 and 7 so I’m glad to see ‘em there.
I dont’ get no 2 and 3. No. 2 should be on the Worst Dressed list in my opinion. No. 3 was just slutty couture in a bad way (and on the wrong girl!).
But Cate deserved no. 1 even though I voted for Diane in Jason Wu. I’m glad that made it to the list!
OMG, when I saw the BDOTY Reader’s Choice list I almost cried. But in a BAD, BAD way. Sorry, but I really dont get this fascination that all people have with Cate Blanchett. And of course she shouldn’t be on the first place, nor on this list. And #9 Leighton Meester, wearing that awful Marc Jacobs crochet dress, I really dislike the dress , and looks even more terrible on her.
BTW, many stylish celebrities should have been on this list, like Blake in Marchesa at the MET ,Camilla Belle in Carolina Herrera (LATIN GRAMMY), Dianna Agron in Carolina Herrera (Emmy), ……

WOW, this proves that FC’s readers also have a very good taste. I agree on every numbers, except Leighton’s Marc Jacob piece. Remember the Marc Jacobs’ yellow and pink mini dress she wore? I think that one is WAY more deserve to be in this list. But I’m still glad that we had a fabulous year with so many fabulous ladies.

Merry Christmas Fashion Critic!
On the whole, I think that this is a pretty damn good list. Being Cate Blanchett’s most tragic fanboy, I must admit that it particularly warmed my heart to see her top this list. She may not appear on the red carpet very often but when she does the results are almost always awe-inspiring. And I see she just missed making a second appearance in the top ten with her McQueen Robin Hood premiere gown just missing out. This year was a very good year for her.
Crazily anticipating seeing your end-of-year list now, Fashion Critic! I’m thinking that six of the above dresses on the Readers Choice list will appear on yours as well but you’ve very often surprised me Fashion Critic so I can’t wait for the unveiling later today!
