Zhou Xun In Lanvin – 40th Anniversary Celebration of Joyce Boutique

Zhou Xun was in Hong Kong this week to attend the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Joyce Boutique.

The stylish actress wore a Lanvin Fall 2010 dress.

We all know how hard it is for Lanvin to translate well off the runway, but Zhou Xun has no trouble making her two-tone lace dress work.

My problem is that she killed the look by over accessorizing.

She added leather gloves, perspex bangles on both arms and silver Versace Fall 2010 strappy platform ankle boots.

Zhou Xun should’ve stopped with leather gloves.

I wish she kept the runway belt. I think the shoes are obnoxious with the dress. The dress is busy enough. A gorgeous cocktail ring and sandals would have been perfect.

I have ben waiting for this ot be on the red carpet for ages. Lanvin is difficult to translate off runway (i assume that was a mistake and you meant ‘runway’ not ‘red carpet’), but when they do they do very well…. until someone decdes gloves look goo don the red carpet (no) and shiny silver strappy pointed toe almost mid calf boots are a good idea (no, just no). It is just saddening.

I agree. She is trying so hard and i never thought i’d say this but those Versace heels are so hideous.

What a shame, this could of been a really great look she should of stopped at the shoes imo!

The shoes and gloves ruin this look. She could have keep the bangles on one wrist and worn shoes from the runway.

Take off one thing before you leave the house.
In her case, she should have taken off two or three.
I love the dress, but she should have taken off the bracelets and the gloves. One big, diamante cuff would have sufficed.

The hair, the gloves, the bangles, the shoes. What a disaster. Does this woman not own a mirror?

This shouts “fashion try hard”. The dress is gorgeous, but her total look is overdone with all the accessorising. But at least she didn’t wear that furry monstrosity the model is wearing!

I personally think Zhou’s shoes and gloves go really well with the dress. It balances the overrall outfit perfectly. Love the way she dressed the Lavin off the runway.
