Sarah Michelle Gellar and Diane Kruger both wore this Chanel Pre-Fall 2007 Monte-Carlo dress, but in very different ways.
Sarah wore her look which was kept true to the runway version, when she attended the Chanel and P.S. Arts Event in LA back in September 2007.
She dazzled in her look opting to wear her hair down and accessorize with a Chanel clutch and black peep-toes.
Knowing Chanel as well as she does, Diane opted to make the look her own by removing the additional top with ruffled shoulders to reveal a spaghetti strap dress.
Her casual approach to this look saw her accessorize with a white Chanel bag and thigh-high boots.
Sarah wins for me by a long mile.
I much prefer how she styled her look. I feel the same way about white bags and as I do white shoes.

SMG looks beautiful but my vote goes to Diane. I agree on the bag(don’t like white bags) but I just love the boots and the hair.
Diane Kruger keeps wearing Chanel. But after a lof of photos, i’m sure she is not a Chanel woman. Because of she has a edgy figure, i think she should try Chloe.
DK’s boots are just wrong. SMG wins it for me.

Not even close. Sarah all the way. The contrast is stark – just letting the dress be vs overworked styling. There was already enough going on with the dress without adding more.

DK is a calvin klein woman. Vanessa paradis is a chanel woman.
I think both ladies look lovely, but when asked to choose “who wore it better” from a fashion perspective, i think clearly Diane Kruger does more with her look to accentuate the beautiful detailing and styling put into this Chanel piece. She takes the focus away from herself (i.e. no big hair) and give the dress the spotlight. No wonder KL luvs her. I too luv to complement dark pieces with white accents, like the purse. Just sayin!

I do really like Diane’s boots and tights, but they definitely dress down the look. I feel like with an added blazer, she could have just been out about town.
