Carrie Underwood in Edition by Georges Chakra – 2010 American Country Awards

I love Country Awards as it’s the one place I’m guaranteed to find some gorgeous gowns by Lebanese designers.

Carrie Underwood never lets me down at these events.

She looked stunning wearing an Edition by Georges Chakra Fall 2010 gown – which is sold exclusively at Dia-Boutique – to the 2010 American Country Awards last night.

It was my favourite dress from this collection and Carrie – as always – does it justice.

Her asymmetrical red chiffon gown with beaded cummerbund and beaded tulle bodice also has a sexy thigh-high split which reveals her Rene Caovilla gold heels.

Coomi jewels and a matching Rene Caovilla sequin clutch complete her look.

It’s going to be hard narrow 10 looks for BDOTW. This is another worthy contender in my eyes.

    So very… country.
It looks great on her though, because she looks very comfortable – and is a beautiful woman!

Good to see her in a red, semi-sequined gown vs. a hot pink/electric blue full-sequined cocktail dress.

I don’t like it. I don’t know why but I just don’t like the way she wears that beautiful dress.

love this amazing look head to toe, make up and hair is flawless.

Pretty dress, but I don’t like the off the shoulder. But, Carrie looks good in almost anything.

Carrie was beautiful as usual her Lebanese-Canadian high fashion designer did a fabulous gown as always.

I am always a Carrie fan, but I positively ADORE this look. I was hoping to see it on here 😉 Personally, I think it is a very different look for Carrie–it has a slight sex appeal about it that isn’t usually seen on her. I like it. Definitely a BDOTW to me!!!!!

  8. Marvel December 7, 2010 at 23:28 #

I like the dress but its so typically for her

  9. S December 7, 2010 at 23:10 #

Carrie looks great and perfect for the festive season. Total BDOTW contender!

I’m not always Carrie’s biggest fan, but this is gorgeous. I love that she’s wearing sandals rather than pumps.

She ruins this look for me actually she makes it a bit mainstream. On the runway it looks very glam and chic but on her it’s just a regular ole red carpet gown. I think it’s her hair and clutch that ruin it.

    • molly December 7, 2010 at 22:19 #

Yea, i agree. Its cute, but nothing special…and as always, it looks cheap on her. More like a dress from Jessica McClintocks couture colllection. Not a high end designer…I do love the color and the hair though…

I think carrie cheapens everything. its like she screams tacky prom queen no matter how awesome her dresses are.

Carrie is sure loyal to those Lebanese designers, and with good reason. She looks gorgeous here. As I was looking through the pics of this show, this was one of very few dresses that really struck me. That RC wasn’t as fashionable as some of the other country award shows.

    Lebanese designers l love you

      😀 xxxxx

Normally, I just can’t get on board with Carrie, but here, I feel like she maintains the girly personality of her look in a way that I can appreciate – it’s very well done without being over the top. Her hair especially looks better to me than some of the more country singers ‘do’s’ she has worn.

great dress and great look for her

  19. Moxie December 7, 2010 at 16:42 #

    It was her night!

  20. klara December 7, 2010 at 16:39 #

oh my GOD she looks fabolous 🙂
and much better than it was presented on the runway, much much much better, i really dislike the dress how it was styled on the model but carrie have beautiful hair and makeup and the clutch is soooooooo on my wishlist 😀 and the shoes are also a good pick… BDOTW will be a hard decision 😉

  21. Joy December 7, 2010 at 16:34 #

I think she looks perfect! Carrie’s hair and shoes complements her in this gorgous dress. I think this dress being red, might be tough on someone else. Carrie’s style really shows through. Hopefully others will take notice on what a complementing shoe looks like!

  22. sara December 7, 2010 at 16:33 #

the clutch and ther hair could be better, but the dress is wonderful so she compensate it!

  23. Hisadora December 7, 2010 at 16:28 #

She can’t do no wrong, can she? Wonderful dress and she looks gorgeous in it!!!

  24. Ethne Blist December 7, 2010 at 16:27 #

Good look for Carrie. I am not wowed, but I like it a lot. I works for her.

  25. LoudPen December 7, 2010 at 16:26 #

This dress is gorgeous! George definitely has potential as a designer but sometimes his designs can be hit or miss. But this dress is stunning and Carrie looks lovely in it.

  26. Vidhya December 7, 2010 at 16:23 #

    total BDOTW.. wow

  27. Megan December 7, 2010 at 16:17 #

I think she looks absolutely breathtaking, and I am not normally a big fan of her or her clothes.

    • Linda December 7, 2010 at 23:58 #

Exactly what I was thinking! Here she does look great.

    • KateS December 8, 2010 at 05:02 #

I agree, she’s usually OTT but this is stunning.

  28. Victoria December 7, 2010 at 16:15 #
