Alicia Keys shows off her post baby figure for the first time on the red carpet this week when she attended the Biutiful New York Premiere.
The new mum sported the same faux-hawk hairstyle we saw her rockin’ during her Vogue Italia shoot.
Her LBD was from Victoria Beckham’s Fall 2010 collection, but it hard to tell by the way Alicia destroys this dress.
Firstly did she even run an iron over this dress before she decided to wear it?
Secondly the dress needed the grosgrain waistband because the dress loses about 80% of its charm without it.
This would’ve also helped the fold detail on the front of her dress stay in place.
In short this is a total mess head-to-toe.
Alicia only had her baby 6 weeks ago, so I’m sure she has other priorities on her mind.

I LOVE her hair! Such a hard look to pull off, but she does so effortlessly. No comment on the dress. So sick of seeing creased dresses on the red carpet.

I really love Alicia keys, so i am going to blame this on hormones. Not one factor is up to her usual par, she could have worn the blue shoes at least.

she always had fairly wacky style on the red carpet so i’m not all that mad at her for this mess. she’s still gorgeous and i’m just happy to see she’s not sporting any jewelry on her face or in her hair. can’t wait to see her adorable baby boy.

Yikes. I like her hairstyle but not with this dress.
The hairstyle is terrible but I think she chose it just for fun, not to be elegant. This expensive dress seems so cheap, HM has better clothes.
This dress has a side pleat that doesn’t hold well with someone with a bust. I have a VB dress with the same pleat. The grosgrain waistband belt alone will not hold down this pleat. The pleat would have to be additionally pinned or sewn down. That is why it looks so lumpy and ill fitting on Alicia. It looks better on the flat chested model and Kelly Ripa.

I agree, the dress would’ve looked cuter with the belt but in some way I’m glad that she didn’t wear it. I think she looked amazing which is probably because I’m surprised how great she looks in VB. I kind of really, really like this outfit on her. ☺
