Carey Mulligan was the first to wear this Marc Jacobs dress with crystal bow front when she arrived at The Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills to attend press conference for her new movie “Never Let Me Go.”
She teamed her pretty lilac slightly puffy sleeved silk dress with taupe suede pumps.
Amanda Peet, who appears to be a big fan of Marc Jacobs’ work, attended the after party for the opening night of “The Break of Noon” in New York City last week wearing the same dress.
She teamed her dress with silver satin ankle strap heels.
I prefer this dress on Carey as it’s better suited to her style, plus I prefer her heels.

Normally love Amanda Peet’s style, but it’s hard to compete with Carey. She makes it look effortless, but on Amanda it looks slightly fussy.
Nicole Kidman just wore this dress too, on Oprah this week.

Carey is Marc Jacob girl, nobody can beat her
The dress looked nice on Nicole when she wore it on Oprah, the darker hair kept her from looking washed out. Not sure what shoes she was wearing, but it fit her style.
Nicole Kidman recently wore this dress on Oprah and I think she wore it best!
I really hate this dress – I find it unflattering and irredemably twee. Nicole did do it well on Oprah, but I think Alexa Chung also wore it at some stage, and from then it couldn’t be saved.
