Halle Berry In Balmain – “Frankie and Alice” LA Premiere

I was pleasantly surprised by Halle Berry’s look at the “Frankie and Alice” LA Premiere last night.

This is because for once she wasn’t wearing yet another predictable look.

She also jumped on the menswear inspired train by wearing a Balmain jacquard suit from the Fall 2010 collection.

Her Balmain double-breasted jacquard jacket was paired with the matching runway jacquard pants and the sexy black sheer blouse.

Although I hate the pose, I do like her elegantly crafted and extravagantly embroidered opulent look.

Large gold hooped earrings and black pointy pumps completed her look.

I don’t really like this look on her at all. I don’t think it’s flattering. I like the blazer with the top but hate the pants.

tee hee, what fun! I’m not sure it’s a beautiful look, but it’s eyecatching and amusing without trying too too hard.

    What an AWFUL look.

Kudos for her to shaking it up but it completely FAILS.
This looks belonged in the 80’s and should have stayed there

I really wanted to like the suit.
All I can think of when I see this suit is Prince.

haha agree!! I tried also hard but sorry I can’t like it..

The pose is bad, can’t do that in tight pants. I think she looks a little uncomfortable, it looks like that suit is a little unforgiving to wear. I like the changeup in style, but not my favourite, perhaps it is too much brocade, remember Nicole Kidman’s shiny silver suit, even Cate Blanchett only just pulled off a similar suit.

wish she’d changed up the blouse, but otherwise she looks fabulous.

How do you mean you hate the pose, FC? 🙂

I mean I don’t like the way she is standing

If anyone can pull this off, it’s Halle. Although I think I’d like it more if she didn’t wear the matching pants. A little too much shine for me.

I’m surprised by how much I like this. If you just told, without showing me the picture, that she was wearing a shinny, jacquared suit made by Balmain, I would assume that I would hate it!

She looks great! covered up but still really sexy!

Halle is way too short to pull off this look!

I like the suit and that she is covered up. I don’t like the blouse on her.

Good look for Halle. No more tight dresses for a while. Remember, you are not 20 anymore.

    • Jen December 1, 2010 at 21:58 #

Halle may not be 20 anymore but she looks better then the majority of 20 yr olds out there so what difference would it make? I like how Halle has come into her own, her dresses are always classy and she is well put together.
