Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Joanna Hillman is the senior fashion market editor covering American and British ready-to-wear for American Harper’s Bazaar.

Before Harper’s Bazaar she worked at Teen Vogue and assisted stylist Lori Goldstein.

During Fashion Week the style bloggers go crazy for her downtown New Yorker style.

I saw her many times during Spring 2011 fashion week and I always noticed her trademark Raybans, bold red lips and long blonde hair which was styled into a Wang/Miu Miu plait.

She’s a very stylish lady. Her outfits always stand out and are very well put together and perfectly accessorized.

Many more ladies joined Yasmin Le Bon on the red carpet for the 2010 Marie Claire Prix de la Mode Awards in Spain last night.

Judith Masco looked stunning wearing an asymmetrical Cortana Alta Costura blue devore gown which really caught my eye.

Anne Igartiburu wore a cream Alberta Ferretti embroidered silk Georgette dress from the Fall 2010 collection which we’ve seen on Australian actress/singer Natalie Imbruglia.

Amaya Montero opted for a sleek sophisticated look by wearing a black velvet Giorgio Armani Fall 2010 gown.

Katerina Strygina wore a black Hannibal Laguna strapless gown with his trademark peplum on the waist.

Laura Medina was very sexy in head-to-toe beige Gucci, whilst Rossy de Palma made this Azzedine Alaia Fall 2010 look very comical.

Yasmin Le Bon like some many supermodels refuses to age.

She was seen walking the red carpet in Madrid last night for the 2010 Marie Claire Prix de la Mode Awards.

Whilst most of the other ladies wore elegant gowns, Yasmin opted for something with a bit more bite.

She becomes the first person to wear a look from Christopher Kane’s Spring 2011 collection on the red carpet.

Although this particular look didn’t make it on the runway, you can see variations of her look below as they share the same print and neon yellow stripes.

A look like this needed an interesting pair of heels, so Yasmin added Azzedine Alaia cut-out suede ankle boots to her look.

Although the details of the heels are interesting, they feel a bit heavy for her dress.

On the runway all the stripes have a narrowing effect around the waist, but Yasmin’s doesn’t.

I would’ve loved this look more had waist been narrower or if she’d worn a belt to nip in her waist.

Back in March, Emma Roberts attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party wearing a royal blue Reem Acra Resort 2010 dress.

She added a beautiful statement necklace, bronze peep-toes and a Chanel clutch to complete her look.

Anna Kendrick opted for a more minimalist look when she wore the turquoise version of this Reem Acra dress to Elle’s 17th Annual Women In Hollywood Tribute in LA last month.

She let the dress do all the talking by simply adding Sergio Rossi pumps.

Emma wins for me as I love her necklace, I prefer her hair is style better and I adore the royal blue against her skin-tone, whereas Anna’s dress washes her out slightly.

I’m not sure how, but I missed Halle Berry at the CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute earlier this week.

The Oscar winning actress looked divine wearing an Alberta Ferretti Resort 2011 white silk jersey one shoulder gown with two silver cuffs and large hooped earrings.

I love this look.

It’s so simple and elegant, but I do miss the days of her jaw dropping gowns that would blow us all away.
