Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Anna Wintour was on her way to take her front row seat at Valentino’s Fall 2010 Couture show in Paris back in July.

She was spotted wearing a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 sleeveless jacquard animal print dress with full pleated skirt.

It was during a time when she was always wearing that beautiful colourful beaded necklace, and she of course was wearing her fave kitten heels.

A light pink cardigan over her shoulders completed her look.

British actress Carey Mulligan wore the same dress to Google’s Boutiques.com launch party this week.

She added a black clutch, YSL pumps and a tribal statement necklace to her look.

I only just realised that Carey’s dress is shorter than Anna’s, but I prefer the fuller skirt and Anna’s accessories so she wins for me.

I gave Alexa Chung a pass yesterday in Valentino, but she looked like death warmed up at Google’s Boutiques.com Launch Party in New York City last night with her ghostly make-up and straggly hair.

She wore an Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 long sleeve dress with a blue and green abstract print which I really like, but I prefer to see looks like this on people with a bit more personality when it comes to fashion like Chloe Sevigny.

Her look was paired with tights, ankle strap heels and a Marni studded clutch from the 2010 Winter Edition.

2010 GQ “Men of the Year” Party has to be one of the most underwhelming red carpet events of the year.

No one really stood out.

Rosario Dawson wore a Dolce & Gabbana red floral print cap sleeve cocktail dress with YSL pumps.

Even with the print I still find this look quite boring.

Jamie King wore a Mandalay gold and black dress which reminds me of the Balmain dress which Sienna Miller wore earlier this year with the same YSL heels as Rosario.

Anna Kendrick opted for a cute Alberta Ferretti black strapless cocktail dress with a Jimmy Choo Candy clutch.

Brian Atwood black and gold trim ankle strap heels complete her look. Read more…

Heidi Klum was one of the first celebrities to wear Victoria Beckham first ever collection, and 5 seasons on she’s still loving her designer pals threads.

The “Project Runway” host wore a Victoria Beckham Fall 2010 dress to the Volkswagen presentation at the LA Auto Show yesterday.

Her teal sleeveless wool-felt dress with a striking silhouette has a black grosgrain sash around the waist.

I’m loving that Heidi went matchy matchy with her look pairing teal pointy pumps with her look.

You may remember that Kelly Ripa wore this same dress on “Live with Regis & Kelly” back in August.

I’m guessing that Heidi has her hair pulled back, rather than sporting a shorter style.

It was recently announced that Leighton Meester has signed a two year deal to be the new face of Vera Wang‘s latest fragrance which will be out next Summer.

The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress was spotted on a fire escape in New York City on set for her Vera Wang fragrance commercial, looking breath-taking wearing a Vera Wang gown – of course.

Her burgundy strapless gown is total perfection.

I love the hourglass figure it gives her plus I love those sharp ruffles on the hemline.

Blake may be racking up her Vogue covers, but Leighton is racking up the campaigns with her second being Herbal Essences.
