The best thing about the Lanvin for H&M collection going on sale in the US & Canada today, is that we get to know the rules way in advance of our launch on Tuesday.

I’ve been keeping up with the tweets from across the pond and here is what I’ve figured out.

1. The first 320 people in line will be given 1 of 16 different colour coded wristbands which indicates your time slot to shop. That’s 20 people for each coloured wristband. Even Leigh Lezark waited in line to get the collection.

2. You will only be allowed to purchase 2 pieces per style so be sure of your size.

3. Go with a friend because if you leave the line to pop to the loo for example you may not be able to get back into the line.

4. Find out which stores are stocking the collection in advance and try not to go to the most obvious store that 100s of people are bound to go to. Yes TV crews and photographers will be there, but do you want to shop or do you want to be on telly? (excuse the tough love) Instead of Oxford Street try Brent Cross or High Street Kensington if they stock the collection.

5. Last night people were already selling the collection on eBay using lookbook pictures. I would strongly advise against purchasing the collection on eBay because how can sellers possibly know what to sell if they haven’t physically got it already.

Those of you in the US & Canada let us know how your shopping experience went.

PS. Don’t forget that the collection also goes on sale online at www.hm.com 7am GMT on Tuesday. REGISTER NOW.

UPDATE: In the UK the rules are that you can only purchase 1 item per style.

Monaco’s future princess, South African Charlene Wittstock made her first official appearance as royal fiancée of Prince Albert II today during a parade for Monaco’s National Day in Monte Carlo.

She looked breath-taking as she waved to the adoring crowed from the balcony of the Prince’s Palace.

Charlene has already shown us that she has a great sense of style – which is very important as the future Princess of Monaco – and that continued today as she looked so very chic wearing an Armani Privé Fall 2010 skirt suit.

Her suit is perfect for such a formal occasion. I love how the jacket nips in at the waist then fans out.

What I love most about this look are her accessories.

Her sculptural brown hat, leather gloves, box clutch and brown satin pumps perfectly complemented her suit.

I hope our Kate Middleton is taking notes.

Cheryl Cole was spotted on her way to Fountain Studios in London today to rehearse for tomorrows X Factor show.

The judge who is constantly under fire for the way she handles her acts and what she wears each week on the live shows, looked happy as she left her new Rolls Royce to head into the studios.

She wore a L’Agence python-stamped leather jacket, black velvet leggings with a leather patch, a Versus t-shirt and Charlotte Olympia platform ankle boots.

The Versus Fall 2010 grey T-shirt has a Bruce Weber photographic print at front with yellow and pink finish.

I really like this look. Her street style totally eclipses her style on the X Factor.

You can shop Cheryl’s t-shirt at Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International.

Alicia Keys looked stunning in an editorial for Vogue Italia November 2010.

The singer, who just gave birth to her first son Egypt, rocks in a mohawk for some shots and a sleek ‘do for others.

In her editorial shot by Michelangelo di Battista she wears Blumarine, Balmain, Giorgio Armani, John Galliano, YSL and Miu Miu as she shows us that the good girl of R&B has gone bad.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On posing for this shoot whilst pregnant: “I like to transform myself like a chameleon. The photos showing me pregnant seemed brave and strong to me, just how I feel at this time”. Read more…
