Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: November 2010

Jennifer Lopez attended the launch of Gucci Children’s Collection this weekend in Beverly Hills.

She arrived with her co-stars of the ad campaign for this collection – Max and Emme.

Jennifer never does anything by halves, so I wasn’t surprised to see her wearing two Gucci looks for the event.

The diva wore a taupe Gucci strapless dress with studded strappy Gucci sandals and a black clutch.

Her second look was a black halter Gucci Spring 2011 jumpsuit with an embellished neckline and a gold belt.

The look was accessorized with gold hoop earrings, gold bracelets, a black Gucci clutch and the runway heels.

The jumpsuit is a great look on the runway and despite not being a 5ft 11in model; Jennifer manages to pull this off.

Jessica Alba didn’t walk the red carpet at the 2010 American Music Awards last night.

She was a presenter so we got to see her absolutely fabulous Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2010 dress in the press room.

Her black one-shouldered dress with a sculptural detail was paired with a gold choker, gold cuffs and black ankle strap Christian Louboutin heels.

It feels like a conservative choice when you consider what everyone else was wearing, but her slick backed bun, asymmetrical neckline and accessories makes the look really interesting.

When Rihanna went to collect her award for Best Soul/R&B Female at the 2010 American Music Awards, she looked divine wearing her second Elie Saab Fall 2010 Couture gown of the night.

I adore her green draped one sleeve gown with a sexy thigh-high split.

She modified it to make the look her own by wearing the draped detail under her arm.

If I was ever lucky enough to wear such a gown I would’ve worn it the same way.

She was the real surprise of the night. I didn’t expect her to wow me the way she did.

After walking the red carpet wearing a Falguni and Shane Peacock dress, Fergie wore a Zuhair Murad Spring 2010 Couture dress in the press room at the 2010 American Music Awards.

The fashion forward singer who isn’t afraid to push the boundaries wore a pewter and silver metallic silk strapless cocktail dress with exaggerated hips and silver studded beading.

She opted out of wearing the cropped jacket.

Apart from the strange pose I really like this look to which she added a Loree Rodkin jewels and Rene Caovilla grey Swarovski crystal platform heels.

There were many more looks at the 2010 American Music Awards which took place in LA last night. Most of them I didn’t like.

This Marchesa Fall 2010 lace gown just won’t catch a break. This is its 3rd outing and despite the beauty of it, none of the wearers have done it justice.

The old Hollywood vibe Julianne Hough is giving us doesn’t work for this music event.

Avril Lavigne is stuck in a time warp. She appears to wear the same dress and the same coloured streaks in her hair for every red carpet event.

I think Heidi Klum went too far with our criticism of her always wearing short mini dresses, because this long lace dress feels a bit desperate. Read more…

De Ja Vu Award
Que surpresa.

Taylor Swift arrived at the 2010 American Music Awards in LA tonight wearing a Collette Dinnigan embellished dress.

Despite not having a problem with Taylor’s love for embellished dresses, this particular one feels way too familiar like she’s worn it before.

Many of you have express your boredom with Taylor’s cute curls, but do you prefer this straight style?

I personally don’t like this hairstyle mostly because it looks like a very bad wig.

It is a wig right?

Jimmy Choo heels complete Taylor’s look.
