There was a lot of red carpet action in France last night as Audrey Tautou attended her “De Vrais Mensonges” Paris Premiere at Cinema Gaumont Opera.
The French actress also opted to wear a Parisian designer by donning a head-to-toe YSL Spring 2011 look.
Audrey’s multi coloured peasant dress was worn with that effortless grace and sophistication that only Audrey possesses.
I think many would’ve struggled to pull off as a red carpet look, but Audrey adds her magical ‘je ne sais quoi’ and this looks is perfection.
Black suede YSL pumps and an oversize black clutch completed her look.

You’re right – she looks adorable, and I love this dress too!
Absolute perfection! I am in love with it.
i agree. its just tres chic
She just added a black clutch and black pumps. I prefer the runway shoes MUCH better than her clunky pumps. Her costar needs to lose the tights.
this is such a great look—- Audrey definitely knows how to do effortless and glamorous at the same time. one of the BDTOW for me, for sure.
Parisian chic! I like it.
how very cute =) who else would have pulled this off? love!
She looks very pretty.
she looks adorable. lovee her hair
Hate the shoes.
As for the dress, it looks insanely plain on her. I really want to love it because I am quite intrigued by it – but there is just nothing there.
Yeah, the shoes have kind of an ugly shape to the toe. The dress though, is great.
It seemed like the runway version’s skirt had a little more poufiness. Audrey’s dress looks a little flat. I don’t like the big clutch or the shoes. The strappy shoes look much better.
It’s a pretty look on the runway, but it’s a little blah on Audrey.
I love it!! She’s so stylish and cute…
I am crushed by ht eshoes, not only are they blakc pumps, but the shape of them seems so awry. I adore everything else, if only she had worn the runway shoes. I am still absolutely delighted to see her ont he red carpet again.
The hair keeps the look from looking too “milkmaidish.” Don’t like the shoes. But still an interesting and beautiful look.
She rocks this better than the model, imo!
A very weird look but it works and I am also loving what the woman in the photo is wearing
This dress, and Audrey in it, is BDOTW-worthy for me.
You are so right Fashion Critic. I cannot think of another celebrity who could have pulled this dress off like Audrey has. Some are saying the dress is flat, others are saying that it is “insanely plain” but that is the genius of Audrey Tatou – she doesn’t feel the need to scream on the red carpet. This dress is the epitome of sublime sophistication and simplicity and she nailed this look.
Love, love, love, love, love.
Audrey is lovely and so pretty but I cannot for the life of me, find one molecule within me that likes this dress. She pulls it off but the dress does a disservice to her!
she displays why i did not like the ysl spring collection: it’s such a backward-looking historical-y look that the dress wears her instead of the other way around.
Gosh she wears difficult clothes well. I love her quirky chic.
