Elie Saab Exhibition At Harrods London

Christmas has come early for me as Harrods are hosting an exhibition showcasing twelve of the most famous Elie Saab gowns worn by celebrities.

The Elie Saab showcase includes the iconic Elie Saab Haute Couture gown designed for Halle Berry, when she accepted her Oscar for Best Actress in 2002.

Other gowns include those worn by Gwyneth Paltrow, Dame Helen Mirren, Beyoncé, Penelope Cruz, Diane Kruger, and Kristen Stewart.

The Elie Saab showcase will run at Harrrods until 22nd December, in the store‘s Luxury Collections Display Lobby on the First Floor. Access via Door 10. There is no entry fee.

I visited the exhibition today but I didnt even know about it until I nearly passed out when I just happend to pass by the Aneglina Jolie gown…then my eyes slowly adjusted to the Paltrow one. Just when i was absorbing all its glory BAM, i turned my neck to see the Beyonce one and felt I’d DIED and gone to heaven! I LITERALLY felt a head rush at the amazingness. After that I did a 360 and went to view the entire collection. It had to be done

I’m never felt this way before over inanimate items…love really does exist!

Elie Saab exhibition pulls anyone… One can certainly witness the creativity and the design of work. All gowns look very beautiful and they are showy as well…

I’m doing a project on curating contemporary fashion so I went to see this last week and I’ve never been so disappointed! No one in Harrods knew what I was talking about except the Elie Saab staff. Then the three dresses that I did manage to see were jammed between the exit and the escalators. The 15 mins i spent there only a couple of people stopped to look, most people just rushed by!

Saying that- the dresses were beautiful and I’m gona go back to look at the rest! But who ever came up with the staging did not do these dresses justice! 🙁

      I do agree.

I was a bit disappointed that they were place between the escalators.

Lucky you, London people! I live in Italy, a bit too far… But I don’t understand the choice of the dress worn by K. Stewart, gorgeous precious gowns and a little white dress which I don’t find particularly interesting. Maybe it’s beautifully embroidered…

Harrods is great at this sort of thing. Did anyone else check out the perfume diaries? That was free to and as well as perfume it had amazing vintage dior, Halston and Pucci dresses, and salvatore ferregamo shoes worn by Judy Garland. It was great!
