I’m sure you’ve realized that I’m very much over the X Factor now, but the one shining light from this seasons dire show has been Rebecca Ferguson.
The Liverpudlian contestant has been touted as the next Leona Lewis because they are both amazing singers and are both incredibly shy and humble.
The thing I love most about Rebecca is her style. Not so much on the show, but on the red carpet she really dazzles.
At the “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1″ London Premiere she looked stunning wearing an Aqua Avril dress with a padded shoulder and structured skirt.
I love this apricot colour against her caramel skin tone.
The look was perfected with a Lara Bohinc clutch and mustard coloured Kurt Geiger Fashionistas Corso Como pumps which we’ve seen on Olivia Palermo.
At the “Pride of Britain Awards” Rebecca wore a pink Karen Karam billowing gown on a red-carpet whilst her fellow contestant looked like something the cat dragged in.
Karen Karam is Central St Martin’s Graduate and this season her Spring 2011 collection will be sold exclusively at Browns Fashion.
What do you think of Rebecca’s early red carpet style?

Her style on the X Factor is horrendous. They are always giving her really bad make up as well.
I do like her in the Aqua dress and the other one if O.K but nothing WOW.
I suppose when the only girls left on the show are Chavy Cher and Awful Katie, Rebecca is the only shining light.
PS, slightly off the topic, are you going to cover the judges looks for Sunday’s show. I know you’ve been really busy. Thanks
Unfortunately I won’t be featuring Sunday’s looks.
Thanks for the response.
why?
Firstly because of the reaction to my last post and secondly because I’ve lost interest
even though you lost interest
but danni or cheryl?
awh I hope you continue to feature the judges in the coming weeks. really enjoy your opinions.. don’t mind the reactions to your previous post… I agree whole-heartedly with it all
Thanks so much for this FC! Im glad u have featured Rebecca i love her style, especially her casual everyday where – there is some chic and classy about her which never looks fake.
I like the first dress but I am not too crazy about the pink gown on her.
I like her style, I knew she would be one to watch!
i love rebecca, am from liverpool aswell & i love your blog, i think shes a breath of fresh air, i love how most of her rings and stuff are from liverpool designers, claudia pink etc. xx
thanks Michael
Even from early in the audition stages, her own personal style (glamourous and sophisticated) was obvious. They certainly have given her some odd stage costumes to wear. They say ‘edgy’, I say ‘dodgy’.
FC
Will you feature anymore X Factor looks?
yes I will but probably not every week
Oooh glad you will….or at least I hope Dannii pulls out a few more post-worthy looks.
Even from the US I can tell that the X-Factor is imploding this year – kinda a shame but kind good riddance at the same time.
Sorry to go off topic – I love Rebecca’s first look here
I thought she looked amazing in all the audition shows, she obviously has great natural style. Haven’t been bowled over by her outfits in the live shows – she would probably look better if they let her style herself
I’ve actually loved her style from the very beginning. I love the retro, 60s touch that she applies to each of her outfits – I mean her OWN clothes, not the ones she’s getting stuck with on the show.
The first look is great but the make-up on the second is really putting me off.
Her early red carpet looks blow Leona out of the water…
Excellent start. No corsets in sight.
lol totally
I’ve loved her style since the auditions!! Something very glamorous about it! Love her voice too
I love her retro style and I love her voice.
shes so naturally elegant.
I’m glad you featured Rebecca’s off-screen style. I think she always looks very chic off-screen.
I especially love the Aqua dress on her
I think she is beautiful, and has a beautiful sense of style (a great example for a comment on another post someone made about having a lot of money means you can dress well and vice versa or something along those lines) and she is very beautiful too, with a charming personality. I love her voice, but find her incredibly dull to watch (sorry!), although the stylist and hair and makeup are not beign subtle about clearly hating her (and all the other contestants this year).
I only saw a bit of x-factor once when i was in London this fall so that whole show is a mystery to me – but I love Rebecca’s first look, she seems very sure of herself and comfortable, at the same time that the outfit has a kind of snap and cheeky cutness to it. The second look isn’t a favorite for me, there is nothing about it that offends, i’m just not drawn to it.
I’ve never seen her before, but I’m very impressed with these choices – the Aqua Avril dress, in particular, is amazing on her, and it looks like she might have a knack for accessorising.
Love love love her style. Although I agree her make up on the 2nd one really did nothing to compliment her dress. I hope you’re gonna keep featuring her. Her usual/daily style is amazing as well. She’s so classy, she can wear anything and make them look expensive!
I love her clothes and find myself wanting to buy everything she wears! I love how her look is never contrived unlike the other two girls on X factor.
I keep seeing people with that little flower pin to their clothes, what is it for?
Rememberance day
Her clutch in the first outfit is Lara Bohinc.
She looks so gorgeous in that second dress, and the red lip really suits her. I still hope Matt wins though :p
yes, thank you. I was racking my brain trying to remember the brand name
