I want to focus on fashion, but last night on the X Factor Cheryl Cole proved that despite all the designer clothes, the L’Oreal contract and the best efforts of her PR team to make us forget about the Cheryl Tweedy who attacked a toilet attendant, she still has no class.
I lost total and utter respect for her when she used the show to try to publicly humiliate Wagner over some false media story in the Mirror of all papers. Like it’s the holy bible of truth.
She reminded us that the show isn’t about the contestants vying for a £1 million recording contract, but that the show is ALL ABOUT HER.
She needs to count her blessing because she can’t sing and she did get lucky, so she needs to climb down from her high horse and get over herself.

As for what she wore on Saturday night I think Julien MacDonald summed up my feelings on her style this week when he allegedly said to her, “Who are you trusting and who are you working with? What are you thinking?” To which she allegedly ran off crying.
Truth hurts. Allegedly.
Cheryl’s lost her mojo. She doesn’t care anymore and this “Dancing On Ice” costume proved that.
I can’t wait for the public apology tonight which will be scripted to perfection by her PR team.

last night was the first time this series i actually liked her whole look.
i can’t stand her though, total chav and needs to find another synonym for ‘thoroughly’.
I completely agree with you on both counts- she looked awful last night and the fiasco with Wagner only proved that she has no class.

The weird part and the thing that I hate the most was when VB achieved something in the US and managed to get some A-list people on her social circle all of a sudden this girl apologized. I didn’t find any sincerity in her apology and I guess this is the reason why.

I’m not comparing both situations, the thing is that when you adress something publicly then it’s easier than the other person stops doing what he was doing. I agree with you when you say this show is a joke, a complete joke, but it is not new, last year it was a joke too.
Thank God you’ve come to that conclusion too FC. I didn’t post anything for the last couple of weeks because my dislike for her, Simon and the show was growing with each week, reaching it’s climax last week with Aiden’s elimination, but i knew you still liked her.
She’s always going on and on about the media fabricating stories about her acts but she takes for granted everything related to her. Like you’ve said, i’ve lost all respect for her and i really hope she won’t be a judge on xf u.s. because we’ll be seeing her play the good girl again before she shows her true colours.

I too am surprised you laid into her that much. As much as i adore Cheryl, i do partly agree with you about her comment to Wagner last night. However, i think she was more frustrated than anything else that much better acts like Aiden, John and Treyc were going home over him.
I don’t think it reflects on her class. She is facing the same frustration that many are that Wagner is still in the competition. Was it right to use that time to criticize him ? No. Does it mean she is classless ? Absolutely not.

I was totally astounded by Cheryl’s outburst. I hadn’t read the papers as yet so knew nothing about it. She was totally unprofessional and it was inappropriate. Worse than that she have credence to a press story. I thought Wagner’s reply was excellent and she just ended up looking foolish. I can see why her PR team will not allow her to have a Twitter account.

I’ve always seen Cheryl as a talentless hack, I don’t get why she’s on such a high pedestal in the UK.
She should never have been a judge. She is awful, and I much refered Sharon, even if she and Danii hated eachother, it was better than watching Cheryl adn Simon’s pervy and constant ass-licking of one another (excuse my language, I cannot ifnd a better way to put that).
She is embarassing, and so is her self-entitledness. She acts so high adn mighty, when yes, inreality she didabuse a toilet attendant, and let’s be honest, without ‘pop stars the rivals’ she probably would have been one too.
I think it is bizarre for people to say that she got the X factor job because she is the prettiest, almost all of her bandmates are prettier, it is because she was a WAG, and therefore more famous.
Speakign of Girls Aloud, she cannot sing and she not decide to be a solo singer.
Her attack on Wagner was beyond embarassing, although he is ridiculous, and he cannot sing that well (esepcially thesongs given to him), he has a lot more class, humility and is much mroe a gentleman (obviously in Cheryl’s case a lady) than Cheryl, and he handled the situation much better.

Cheryl has shown us that she has not really changed and is the same rude girl from Girls Aloud who used to attack other female celebrities verbally all the time. Ever since the whole Ashley Cole cheating thing her team have been trying to turn her into this nice peoples princess and many people buy the act because she is really attractive and they felt sorry for her. But everything about her is manipulated her “Classy†style and her saintly act . It seems now she has become the most famous woman in the UK she does not care about maintaining her false image and is slipping back (at least in public) to her rude, aggressive and tacky ways. She is paid millions to judge people on their performance and it was classless to attack Wagner, when she should be talking about his performance and that was 100% unprofessional.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I also grew up in a council estate but despite a serious lack of cash I was raised with class. Last night’s behaviour proves that no amount of sparkle and PR spin can make Cheryl a dignified person. I commend you and all the others from council estates for soaring high, working hard and not forgetting our roots.
I really don’t understand fandom taken to new levels…regular people sticking up for their favourite celebrity as if they know who they are for real even when the facts are there in your face. And the thing i’ve always liked about you FC is that not matter how much you like a celeb( see VB or even Cheryl) you’ll be the first to criticize her, which i think it’s the right thing to do. I completely agree with you FC. Me and my mum were in shock at what she did to Wagner, he didn’t deserve that on national TV, especially as it was written in a tabloid newspaper. TBH I was surprised she thought that was the right time and place to address the situation.

I love how judgemental are some of the comments on here. Do you know what happened behind the scenes? I agree that maybe Cheryl could have handed very different the situation (as Simon a couple of weeks before saying the same as Cheryl sis yesterday)
Today Cheryl was asked about it on Xtra Factor, a woman said: “You’ve had 24 hours to think about what you said to Wagner last night, do you regret what you said to him?”
Cheryl answered: “If someone wants to say something publicly then he should be able to adress it publicy which was what I did”
The other women says: “and do you not think it would have been more professional to do it backstage?”
Cheryl: “No, no”
Konnie asks her about all the things the tabloids prints every week and then Cheryl says:
“The thing is that when you are backstage you get a sense of what is going on”
Konnie: “yeah, got you”
Then the woman sarcastically says: “But Cheryl, I’m sure you’ve been misquoted on the press as well before”
Cheryl: “Yes I have, 100% I have, but I wouldn’t have adressed it if I didn’t know it was factual”

There you go, I’m sure she’s heard the illegal interview to Wagner because it is not the first time a bad comment about her has been published on the papers (since the backlash started it’s a daily routine) but she never said something about it, why? because she knew they weren’t true and were made up by the press. Yes, she could have adressed it in private, but she has a point.

This whole thing about Cheryl Cole being the nation’s sweetheart, the poor girl who got cheated on by her unfaithful husband basically doesn’t allow her to make any faults. We’ve sort of built her up and put her on a pedestal and with that in mind, its easier to knock her down. Was she wrong and unprofessional in saying that? Absolutely. I mean it was very unprofessional but she is human and we’ve got to cut her some slack. The fact that Wagner is still on the show is pretty pathetic and she’s frustrated that better acts have come and gone. She didn’t handle it very well but I saw the clips and I didn’t think that she was that disrespectful. And with people constantly calling her a chav, it’s no wonder she wants to defend her roots and her upbringing. But honestly, I think she could have handled it better. It was unfair right after Wagner’s performance. But I think we’re all going a little too far, yes she shouldn’t have done that, but it doesn’t change the fact that she is a nice person who makes mistakes, as all of us do. I like the fact that even though people are against her, she stands up for herself and is willing to take the slack. Not the best situation for sure but hey, it happens. I think we’re all getting a bit bored of Cheryl now, because she’s one of the most beautiful women on our TV today and the whole “poor girl that became a princess” situation is becoming a bit boring. She’s flawed as we all are and we should cut her a bit of slack. Saying that, I do think she should apologize to him.
As for her fashion, I completely agree. She is of course stunningly gorgeous but her fashion has been lackluster, I think I only liked one or two of her outfits this season. I don’t think she tries as hard as she used to. Dannii, on the other hand, has been effortlessly glamorous.

I’m from the US so I don’t know what all the fuss is about regarding Cheryl and the contestant. All I know is that Cheryl is a gorgeous young girl and young people say inappropriate things at times. i think cheryl was right to say whatever she thinks apparently its a free country where people can voice their own oppinions as for wagner hes a total looser. and danni was soo annoying saturday she was moaning about everyone but personally xfactor is dry this year.
I had to explain this same situation to my boyfriend. Each week my fav part of the show is when the judges come out and each week Cheryl is never a clear winner. Dannii is simply coming into her own, dressing fantastically to suit her. Seeing the dress again, you can appreciate the work but it simply did not suit Cherly; in my opinion it made her look hefty, which she is certainly not. I can only assume that there is a stylist somewhere suggesting she dress fierce and she is agreeing.
Also FC, I am keen to know your thoughts about Sunday’s outfits. I can’t see anything more has been posted since Saturday’s and I hope that this has noting to do with the comments above? And of course please do point out if you have posted and I am missing it?!
