Carey Mulligan In Lanvin – Launch Party by Google

Last night in New York City, Carey Mulligan arrived on the red carpet for the launch party of Google’s new fashion venture

The British actress continues her love affair with French fashion brands by wearing a Lanvin Pre-Fall 2010 dress.

Her beautiful sleeveless jacquard animal print dress with full pleated skirt was yet again paired with the ugliest heels I have ever seen.

What is her obsession with ugly brown heels?

Those YSL pumps don’t work with the rest of her look for me and I also feel with that much print that she didn’t need that tribal necklace.

Accessories aside, I really like this dress on Carey.

Completely agree-lose the shoes and the necklace. Dress is great on her! Not overly mature like some of the things she has worn but still completely sophisticated. But do we think its a bit ballsy to wear something that La Wintour has worn??

      totally ballsy.

Love it! Head to toe! Don’t mind the necklace or the shoes. She’s adorably pretty. Liking a lot of her looks lately and her hair and make-up are usually just perfect.

Love it all except the color of these heels…eww

    It’s actually Lanvin Pre-fall 2010, not Resort 2011 :)

      yep..ok thanks

I think moved on in mind that everything now ends with 2011

    Anna Wintour wore it better.

What’s wrong with her knee? Is it bruised or is it that the shadow of her clutch.

Either way she’s ruined yet ANOTHER dress. Isnt it ironic that she favours the same brands as Anna Wintour

I disagree on the necklace. I think it looks great. The animal print is a great canvas. The shoes, however, are gross.

i think she looks adorable. another great look in my books. i kinda like the tribal necklace, i think it works with the print. the shoes arent as bad coz its brown and its as obvious

I agree. It would have been better with different shoes, but I still think she looks great.

    beautiful <3

Beautiful and chic. The only things I’d change are the shoe and bag choice. Accessories are key to the success of an outfit.

I like the brown shoes, just as classic but less tired than black..

I love this dress and was very tempted to buy it and then it sold out whilst I dithered. It kind of hangs on her which I don’t understand given that the fabric is stiff I think it might be a size too small.

I love this look (loveit on Anna wintour too). As always with lanvin (besides Julianne moore), she looks divine. I think that the pumps would have worked with ifferen accessories, namely the necklace, adn the necklace may, just may, have worke dwithdifferent shoes.

I don’t mind the shoes but I think the necklace was bit much.

This dress looks better in person than in print. I’m not loving this look on carey.

I like the dress and the fact that she’s smiling, she’s always so serious on the red carpet. The necklace is useless, a bracelet would have been better, the shoes are so ugly, they’re a fashion crime.

    I actually like the shoes.
The dress is so pretty and the print is so busy that she didn’t need the necklace. There’s the perfect dress for it, but this one isn’t it.

LOVE the whole look. Heels are not bad at all, and necklace adds dimension.
