2010 GQ “Men of the Year” Party

2010 GQ “Men of the Year” Party has to be one of the most underwhelming red carpet events of the year.

No one really stood out.

Rosario Dawson wore a Dolce & Gabbana red floral print cap sleeve cocktail dress with YSL pumps.

Even with the print I still find this look quite boring.

Jamie King wore a Mandalay gold and black dress which reminds me of the Balmain dress which Sienna Miller wore earlier this year with the same YSL heels as Rosario.

Anna Kendrick opted for a cute Alberta Ferretti black strapless cocktail dress with a Jimmy Choo Candy clutch.

Brian Atwood black and gold trim ankle strap heels complete her look.

Rashida Jones was the third celeb to wear those YSL pumps on this red carpet which she paired with her Guishem strapless dress and Irit Design jewels.

Shenae Grimes still thinks it’s Halloween.

Jena Malone was by far the best dressed at this event wearing a Paule Ka black chiffon cocktail dress with a sequin embellished bust and buckle detailing on the shoulders and waist.

She teamed her look with a Rene Caovilla gold Swarovski crystal box clutch and Rene Caovilla black suede heels.

Elsa Pataky wore a black Emilio Pucci Resort 2011 dress which had embellished details on the shoulders.

She added a pop of colour to her look with a Pucci clutch and grey satin Sergio Rossi heels.

“Glee” actress Jayma Mays wore a Paule Ka black and white chiffon cocktail dress with black Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals and a red Kate Spade New York ‘Candy Darling Emmanuelle’ clutch.

Krysten Ritter wore a Reem Acra silver sequin strapless cocktail dress with black bow front heels and Carla Amorim jewels.

Jena and Kristen are easily the best dressed. I have become numb to YSl and atwoo pumps in nude and especially black.
Rosario makes me think : ‘librarian does christmas party’.

Jayma Mays is so so cute! It’s my favourite

Jayma Mays is also my favourite, love the dress and the pop of colour with the lip is great. I would wear this look for sure.

      I think so

I’m worried for Jenna Malone, not for her styling, but because she looks skeletal. Oh my. She looks good, but unfortunately not that good.

Seriously. When did she lose all that weight??

    • CB November 18, 2010 at 23:41 #

Agreed! I didn’t recognize her! She seems fraily and tired, which isn’t a good look on anyone. Love the pink lips and toes though.

I only like Jena and Jayma.

  7. Linda November 18, 2010 at 21:20 #

Kristen Ritter – best, Jena – 2nd best

    • Ethne Blist November 19, 2010 at 03:37 #

      Then Jayma then Jaime King.

Jena, Kristen and Jayma look acceptable. It’s true that these events are underwhelming (and there goes Elsa Pataky :P)…

And this thing about shoes is starting to not be even funny: awesome shoe-makers around the World must be so annoyed!! If we only knew redcarpet looks, it would appear YSL and Sergio Rossi are the only two existing brands!! Urgh I’m on my nerves!! :)

It gets on my last nerve. I go to so many press days and see so many shoes so I know they are out there :)

I like Jaime King look – she looks well groomed and the dress is very stylish.

I love Jena Malone’s Paula Ka dress – she looks great.

Jayma and Jena are the only intresting people.

I once remembered when the GQ Awards attracted some BIG stars. Looking at the red carpet, this is clearly not the case

    • Fashion Critic November 19, 2010 at 07:47 #

      I remember that time too.

      This event was so depressing

  13. misa November 19, 2010 at 05:04 #

can we burn all the YSL trib 2s in the world? pretty please?

    • Fashion Critic November 19, 2010 at 07:43 #

Tried, but the stars continue to wear them :)

Krysten and Jayma both look really sweet. Jena Malone does look great, but I’m really liking Krysten. It’s nice to see her dressed up.

Ehh. Anna Kendrick. I really want to like her, but nothing she wears excites me.

  15. Emi November 19, 2010 at 08:29 #

Maybe the cutest look was Elsa Pataky’s. I also like J. King. The other looks are boring or ugly, R. Dawson’s dress seems bought in a cheap mall, the length is terrible, the print would be nice for a granny house-coat.

    I think Rosario looks lovely..
