Rachel McAdams In Lanvin – “Morning Glory” New York Premiere

Rachel McAdams was a ball of energy on the red carpet when she attended the premiere of her new movie, “Morning Glory” in New York City on Sunday night.

Our 3rd look off the Lanvin Spring 2011 runway is a gunmetal grey ruched dress.

Her strapless dress doesn’t exactly blow me away – it didn’t on the runway either – but I think Rachel is really working it.

This maybe a first, but the dress works better off the runway with the longer length.

I also like her blown out hair and the simple accessories.

Rachel completed her look with Lanvin leather-strapped fishnet and mesh pump from the Spring 2011 collection with a lucite wedge.

Gwyneth Paltrow wore the same heels at the Country Strong premiere in Nashville. The LBD she wore was cute, but not strong compared to Leighton’s look.

LOVE this look including the shoes and hair (despite her looking better as a brunette)

    BDOTW worthy I think!

she looks fab! and she even wore the runway shoes! I thought the models couldn’t walk in them?

I haven’t seen Rachel on the red carpet in a while so I was surprised to see her. She is usually soooo boring, but she looks better in the dress than the model. I also like the longer length.

Totally agree FC – the dress looks much better longer… and love the shoes

She looks beautiful, love the shoes especially, classy but also sexy – certainly don’t see her as a cheap version of Reese Witherspoon!

    • Linda November 9, 2010 at 02:34 #

Definitely not. She’s classy and beautiful and a talented actress. She is working that dress.

  12. Rebecca November 8, 2010 at 20:40 #

I think she looks great–the dress shows off her figure without looking cheap or trashy–really well done.

What? No black office pumps? Those shoes are incredible.

I love it. I think that the logner verios would have looked terrible on-runway, so I am glad Rachel either had the insight, or was too short and had to wear it long. I would prefer to think it was the former, but etiher works for me. I think she is SO brave wearing those pumps, especailyl since hte whole ‘models could walk in them and Alber (<3 ) came to the rescue'. Sorry to be cliché but she makes the dress, the dess doesn't make her.

The comparision to Reese is funny because it’s kinda true. The shoes are far more interesting than the boring dress.

I don’t care too much for the dress, but lovely shoes. Very unique and creative.

Gorgeous shoes! Now if only more celebrities would follow in her footsteps and choose interesting footwear instead of black pumps….they are sooo many great choices from this spring 2011 collections.

Fabulous but not BDOTW worthy. Rachel is really working it- sometimes she doesn’t, so I am surprised she’s actually working this.

    • Fashion Critic November 8, 2010 at 18:39 #

Yes I was surprised too. She must really like this movie 🙂

  25. Hisadora November 8, 2010 at 18:18 #
