Great Legs, But Where’s The Rest Of Your Dress Award
The 2010 MTV EMAs was hosted by Eva Longoria in Madrid tonight.
The host who can ‘order French toast anytime’ (you’ll get that if you saw those ridiculous promos for this event) arrived on the red carpet wearing a Georges Hobeika Spring 2010 Couture dress.
When asked “Who are you wearing?”, Eva replied “George.”
I guess she only remembered half of the designers name because she only wore half of the original look.
The look is amazing on the runway, but loses its appeal on Eva.
She really tore it down, from removing the belt and the skirt.
I guess she wanted the look to be edgy and stand out as the host of this event, but had she at least kept the belt she may have pulled off this look.
Her look was paired with Brian Atwood ‘Donna’ patent pumps.
During the show Eva wore two Spring 2011 runway looks.
This sexy Gianfranco Ferré Spring 2011 ensemble was more like it.
I loved the ruffled top which was paired with high-waisted pants and accented with a wide leather belt.
My only wish is that she had worn the top without the sheer sleeves because it doesn’t match her skin-tone.
As a result it looks like she had a spray tan gone horribly wrong.
Eva’s Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 dress with sexy cut outs was my favourite look.
I loved the chocolatey colour of her halter dress.
It’s very JLo, but it works for Eva.
The nude pumps are a bit predictable though.

Confused by why Eva was the host? The last look was the best minus that wig.
It was a strange choice.
It was in Madrid, Spain, she s a latina…. maybe that s why!

Clearly, Eva has the right idea for these types of shows that less is more. The first look I can’t get behind because it looks like she forgot bottoms. I really like the second look. It’s something most stars wouldn’t wear, but you’re right, the sleeves are distracting.
I really like the color of the third look. The shoes are wrong to me. And I’m not a fan of the hi-low lengths on the bottom. A bit too much difference between them.
I *LOVE* the look on the face of the guy behind her in the 3rd look. He’s clearly not bothered that she has forgotten the bottom half of her outfit
She looks ridiculous in all three – a dynasty-inspired, tap-dancing figure skater. At least the chocolate brown is a nice colour on her.

Exactly what I was thinking. It is one thing when JLo wears something like this on stage. But, Eva, you are an actress, put on some pants.

Oh dear. FC, I clicked on your link and watched the promo. This and her outfits bring new meaning to the concept of “trash culture”. In all of the outfits she looks like she has left off garments. I guess she is paid well for this, but is the money worth looking and acting like a stereotype for ghetto trash?
She usually has such great looks when hosting other shows. I was expecting way more from her

Why so little clothing?! I know it’s a big show and all that, but seriously. It’s freaking November! No one would blame her for putting something on top of her underwear, which obviously is the only thing she is wearing!

Pucci dress is great
she looks ridiculous. cheap and tacky. everything was missing or looked too short on her…borderline trashy! shame because she used to have good looks
she looks gorgeous but these clothes are just vile! eva you are hot but sometimes you can be hot without flashing so much flesh.
When I saw her on the red, sorry, purple carpet, I liked how she was dressed but it was a close-up so i didn’t know she was wearing nothing under the jacket. I like the Emilio Pucci’s dress, which she wore at the beginning of the show. I thought it was a good way to start but then…nothing, nothing, nothing… To me, she’s been chosen as the host because she’s latin, a latin host in Madrid, but I was surprised, anyway, because usually the hosts have sense of humors! My impression about her different looks was that she tried so hard to show her best asset, her legs, which to me it “stinks” of desperation… I also think that she chose dresses of the wrong colors, considering the scene and the lights. I was expecting beautiful gowns, she only gave us pieces of clothes and her legs.

I love the fact that she wore that giant ham outfit. Whether or not it was intended as an ode to Gaga it still shows her sense of humour. Full credit to her – can’t imagine VB doing likewise.
Out of all of the outfits my favourite is definitely the Emilio Pucci.

I don’t know what it is about her, but her style just doesn’t ring true. She is a beautiful women but doesn’t pull anything off as original. It always seems she is trying to look like someone else wheiher it is Victoria, JLo, or maybe even someone edgy like Rhianna. I just don’t think she has style on her own.

The dresses are laughable and so are her facial expressions in these pictures. What is also really horried is the make-up. Very greasy in photographs 2 & 3. Just very unnatural overall.
JLo is going to be devastated Eva wore that Pucci first! The Ferré looks great actually (ignoring the sleeves), as does the Pucci that colour looks so much better on Eva than the model) but the “George” I’m not loving.

This was hilarious. All I could think was when one is channeling Taylor Momsen’s no bottoms (skirtsor toursers) look, one is having problems.I like the gianfranco ferre, adn I am sure there is a reason for the sleeves (or I hope at least), and i love the pucci, she is really a good fit for pucci imo. I was expecting more from her though. Thanks for this post FC, it was hilarious

sooo is the dress A LOT longer from behind cause if it is just a bit longer than the front, then she must have flashed her undies/bum…
That first dress is just plain ugly on and off the runway. Nothing could have saved that dress but a good old burning.
The leotard look was cute, but for some reason, I wanted to put a pencil skirt on her.
The last look was the best of all three. This is what Eva should be wearing.

ok..I’m not liking this I mean I like this look but it’s extremely too short for my liking and to be worn out in public. I hope she was going to the club.
I preferred the other Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 dress she wore that night.. the long printed one with side cutouts. . She looked understatedly sexy in that, imho. maybe because it was the only long dress she wore that night.
