The 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards took place last night with many of our favourite stars hitting the red carpet.
As fashion lovers we are still in trying to get over Marion Cotillard’s previous red carpet look, but she made an improvement last night.
The French actress proved that it was a one-off by dazzling on the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab dress.
Her shimmering powder blue dress with a draped sleeve was paired with black Jimmy Choo ‘Neptune’ sandals and a black clutch.
I like the dress, love the red lippie but I’m not fond of the accessories.
We know Marion’s can do better, but I do like how she showed off a bit of her personality with a quirky quiff updo.

not bad,good going marion!
but she can do way better.
exactly!
A cute dress but I love how she styled her hair here.
MUCH improved from her last outing.
I agree about the hair. Best thing about this look.
Sigh of relief. It does seem as if her last outing was an unfortunate “one off”. I absolutely love this look. It is cute and sassy. The hair really suits her.
i actually dont love this look at all…there isnt on thing i like about this =( the whole ensemble looks cheap and tacky…not words i would ever use to describe the gorgeous marion. she can do so much better.
Not liking it -the dress or colour on her-she also looks a bit large which I know she isn’t. Totally off topic but have you seen her new ads for the new Lady Dior bags (she is on The London eye) they have been so photoshopped that for a moment I thought she was Liz Hurley.
I really don’t like this look. On the whole it doesn’t look good. The lipstick and eye-shadow are not the right shade and they do not compliment the color of the dress or each other.
The dress’ fabric doesn’t sit well on her bust and is very unflattering.
The shoes seem out of place.
She’s such a pretty woman, but this look is very mediocre.
forget the dress!
holy mother of fashion, those shoes are TOO…DIE…FOR…!
I don’t like this. Seems like something that the Kardashians would wear.
lol I love who whenever we dislike something we always say “it looks like something the kardashian’s would wear”
I really am boredof Marion, this looks is all wrong, the shoes dont go with the dress, which is wrong for her, an dnot special enough, a boring clutch, substandard pose, and a try-hard quiff. I don’t know if she started using a stylist, but if she has, she has to fire him/her, because frankly, sh eused to dress herself better.
She has lost all her sparkle for me.
Marion is a sweetheart and an absolute knock-out, but this is a frightfully dated ensemble (sequinned asymmetrical one-sleeve draped dress?! And the shoes cut her off at the ankle, which is the last thing you want, especially when one entire arm is hidden)…
No no no.
the shoes look like they’re from claire’s :-X
they do
They SO do. They are so nineties dressing-up shoes.
they might be the ugliest things jimmy choo had ever made.
I think it’s the way the shoes are being worn frankley. I get the idea of the outfit coz it’s quirky, but quirky doesn’t work for everyone. I must say her face and hair look fantastic though. x
I’m still to traumatized from her last look.
I guess she’ll have to try harder to win me back.
I really like her hairdo.
Boooooooriiiiiing. HATE the shoes.
I agree – love the hair/makeup…. but I’m kinda grossed out by the sandals. I manage a prom store and they just remind me of the cheap shoes we have to carry. Not fashionable at all :/
agree with all of you about the shoes.
Also, she does look bigger in the bust. I thought the other look had been caused by a major pushup bra, but now i am debating if she really got implants….does anybody know?
That’s funny, I was thinking that they looked bigger today, but could that be due to weight gain rather than implants?
one shoulder/sleeved dresses and jumpsuits and ankle boots worn with short dresses/skirts can leave the building now. Thanks. I’m done. Move along now.
I think she looks horrible. She’s pretty and yet this look does absolutely an injustice to it.
Maybe it’s a dumb question, FC, but look as I might, I can’t find any jewelry on her. Where are the Carla Amorim jewels you mention?
As for the look, I love her hair and makeup, but that’s all.
oops I put it on the wrong post
Not great, but thank goodness it’s not Dior. I’m so sick of her in Dior dresses (I know she is/was the face of Dior).
Oh, but I love her hair and makeup!
