Red Carpet Fashion Awards

It looks like Olivia Palermo has fallen hard for stunning designs by Giambattista Valli since attending his Spring 2011 presentation in Paris earlier this month.

The socialite wore a sleeveless white Giambattista Valli Fall 2010 dress with the most adorable pink shoes I have ever seen in my life.

Her dress has the same shape, bow front detail and contrasting hem as the runway version, but obviously without the colour or the print.

I think Olivia could’ve also pulled off the runway version, but she made the right choice as the white is more classic and chic.

A pewter clutch completed her look.

Rihanna is the gorgeous cover girl for Marie Claire UK’s December 2010 issue which hits newsstands tomorrow.

The double cover shot by Satoshi Saikusa, sees Rihanna wearing a Sonia Rykiel feathered dress on the first cover.

The subscribers will get a signed copy of RiRi wearing a sexy Mark Fast Spring 2011 mini dress, which only exited the runway a month ago.

In the interview she talks about Eminem, surviving the Chris Brown experience and about the person she has become now.

You can read more at MarieClaire.co.uk. Here are some extracts.

On critics questioning her recent appearance on the Eminem single, “Love The Way You Lie” and how, in their view, it glamorises domestic violence: “He [Eminem] confronted himself on it. He basically gives insight into what goes on in the mind of a couple in a domestically violent relationship. I love that in every verse it just gets to that point where she wants to leave, she wants to leave, she leaves, she leaves, she leaves… but then the hook always comes back.” Read more…

The “Unstoppable” LA Premiere took place last night with Rosario Dawson looking beautiful on the red carpet.

Rosario wore blue satin Stella McCartney one-shoulder dress with an elaborate detail on the shoulder and a sexy thigh-high split.

The colour is gorgeous on her, but those creases are killing me much like Salma’s flat dress.

I don’t think perfection is too much to ask for on the red carpet, but I’m aware that it can’t always be achieved.

Stunning jewels, Brian Atwood pumps and a matching nude Jimmy Choo clutch completes her look.

Last night in Qatar, Salma Hayek attended the opening ceremony for the 2010 Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

The actress opted for yet another Alexander McQueen look, this time from the Resort 2011 collection.

I love the drama of the dress, yet at the same time I’m not that excited about it on Salma.

That’s mostly because the skirt has lost it’s zing.

I’m sure it must be impossible to keep the structure on a dress like this when you’re sitting in a car or seated for a premiere, but it makes me lose excitement for a look like this.

I also loved the leather belt on the runway, but Salma opted out of this because she had to contain the twins by reducing the plunge on this dress.

An Alexander McQueen clutch, Boucheron jewels and black Sergio Rossi heels completed her look.

Claire Danes may not excite many of you on the red carpet, but she always looks sophisticated and very elegant.

This was very much the case when she stepped onto the red carpet at the 2010 Whitney Gala And Studio Party at The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City last night.

Her Lanvin Resort 2011 haltered black dress had an interesting jeweled chain-link neckline.

I’m really glad she added the studded black leather belt and silver clutch to this look otherwise I may not have liked it as much.

Her blonde hair teased into a simple updo, whilst her make-up was natural and flawless.

As always, we have a perfectly nice red carpet look from Claire.
