Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: October 2010

The Smith family were spotted stepping out of their midtown hotel in New York City yesterday on what looks like a cold night in Manhattan.

Jada Pinkett-Smith wore two gorgeous looks from Chloé’s Fall 2010 collection.

I’ve been lusting after Jada’s Chloé’s taupe and light-brown wool jumpsuit ever since it hit the runway. So was everyone else because it sold out immeidately on Net-A-Porter.com.

I love how the knitted top and tailored pants look like separates and how they elongate Jada’s legs as the pants sit high on the waist.

She wrapped a tweed Chloé cape around her shoulders to complete her look.

I’m totally in love with this look.

In New York City last night Christina Ricci attended Elton John’s ‘An Enduring Vision’ benefit for his AIDS Foundation to show her support for the campaign.

Christina gave us yet another summery dress with Fall heels.

Her gorgeous pale green Alberta Ferretti Spring 2011 chiffon strapless dress has a beautiful cascading ruffle.

Her look was complete with bold red lips, a black Tiffany & Co Camille clutch and YSL pumps.

I’m not sure if it’s the pose, the fit or the accessories but something isn’t quite working for me.

I love the dress, but I prefer Christina in edgier more complicated looks.

Shu Qi was glowing when she stepped onto the red carpet at the 19th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival which took place in China this week.

The Asian actress becomes only 3rd person after Claire Danes and Megan Fox to wear a look from the Armani Privé Fall 2010 collection.

Her exquiste gold sequined one shoulder gown with diagonal pleating is gathered at the waist and accented by a metal and lacquer brooch.

I love the way Shu sweeps her hair over the opposite shoulder so nothing is blocking our view of this breath-taking gown.

Her beautiful gown is matched by her beautiful smile.

This is a BDOTW contender for me. Do you agree?

None of us would’ve predicted that the first person to wear a look from Marchesa’s Spring 2011 collection would be young Elle Fanning.

Dakota’s younger sister attended the 17th Annual ELLE Women In Hollywood Tribute Event in LA last night wearing a Marchesa white pleated organza necklace dress.

The mini cocktail dress has a white beaded neckline instead of the mint green neckline the dress was presented with.

I think it would have worked either way for Elle as has the same colouring as the model.

I’m not crazy about the shoe choice and I wish she wore her hair up to show off the detail, but this a beautiful look. One of the best on the night.

The young star looks so confident and cute on the red carpet. I would’ve been a nervous wreak to be around all those stars.

Kate Hudson also attended the 17th Annual ELLE Women In Hollywood Tribute Event in LA last night.

I was excited to see her wearing my favourite look from Prabal Gurung’s Spring 2011 collection, but I’m really disappointed with her presentation.

Her hair looks like she air dried it. I wish she’d pulled all of it back.

Also I wish she’d taken a few inches off the hem, as I prefer where the hem stops on the model to the length on Kate.

Once again I’m wishing for a re-run of one of my favourite Spring 2011 looks.
