Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: October 2010

Kerry Washington attended the ‘Philadelphia Style Magazine’ After Party for the 19th Philadelphia Film Festival Premiere of “Night Catches Us” at The Chestnut Club this weekend.

She celebrated her cover looking absolutely beautiful wearing a Costello Tagliapietra Fall 2010 dress.

I love the terracotta colour of her high-neck twisted draped dress.

Unlike her Ports 1961 dress this dress would’ve looked even better with a belt.

She completed her look with Brian Atwood suede taupe heels and a modern up-do.

Do you think she should’ve kept the runway belt?

Normally when I see a white gown on the red carpet the “here comes the bride” tune starts playing in my head, but that didn’t happen when I saw Jennifer Lopez glide down the red carpet at the 32nd Anniversary Carousel of Hope Gala.

This is because Jennifer was giving me so much divalious attitude in her Georges Chakra Spring 2010 Couture gown, I could only marvel at how fabulous she looked.

The detail on her white asymmetrical guipure and sequined gown with a tulle train is exquisite.

She always delivers drama on the red carpet. Even though she’s not particularly ‘fashionable’, she’s always fabulous and that’s why I love her.

Her hair and make-up help complete this breath-taking look to which she added a Daniel Swarovski clutch.

It’s gonna take something pretty epic to top this for me this week.

Jennifer couture crush continued when she performed at the event wearing a Zuhair Murad Spring 2010 Couture mini dress.

The silver beaded long sleeve mini dress with nude tulle cut-outs and fringe beading is the perfect performance look for the singer.

The length gives it plenty of sex appeal, whilst the details give it plenty of movement.

Two out of two for Jennifer. She was on fire.

Halle Berry continues fall for pretty boys as walked the red carpet with her new beau French actor Olivier Martinez.

We’ll see if this relationship lasts longer than the promotion of their upcoming thriller “Dark Tide”.

Carey Mulligan and Shia LaBeouf have reportedly broken up.

Halle looked amazing smoldering in a YSL Pre-Fall 2010 gown.

Her raspberry asymmetrical gown drapes beautifully across her caramel skin.

With her trademark pixie hairstyle Halle accessorized with a YSL box clutch and simple jewels.

Definitely a BDOTW contender.

Olivier also wore YSL too.

On Friday night Mila Kunis attended the “Black Swan” Premiere during the London Film Festival at the Vue West End.

The actress wore a D&G black sleeveless chiffon gown with beaded detail at the waist.

I’m more mesmerized by her smoky eyes, glossy hair and sparkling Van Cleef & Arpels jewels.

I would’ve been far more excited had she worn something younger, more fun and interesting.

For the photocall for the movie earlier in the day at the The Berkeley Hotel in London, Milan wore a chic L’Wren Scott look.

Her black leather skirt and ivory embellished top was paired with black Brian Atwood pumps.

After wearing head-to-toe black for the first 2 weeks of the X Factor live shows, Cheryl Cole gave us two non-black looks this weekend.

On Sunday night she dazzled in a sexy Kristian Aadnevik Spring 2011 mini dress straight off the runway from London Fashion Week.

The one-sleeve white mini dress with the silver stripes was more like the young, fun sexy Cheryl we’re used to seeing.

She completed her look with Nicholas Kirkwood black strappy heels.

I would’ve preferred the runway heels or heels in a similar colour, but I’m glad to see her sparkle back.

The judge/singer also performed her new single “Promise This” live on the show, which is the first track off her new album, “Messy Little Raindrops”.

I loved Dannii Minogue’s Dolce & Gabbana dress which she wore on the X Factor results show on Sunday night.

The Fall floral print was really beautiful. I also loved the voluminous skirt and sexy sweetheart neckline.

My major issue with this look is the hair.

Yes I’m complaining about her hair for the 3 week running, but ombre hair doesn’t suit someone as classy as Dannii.

I wish she’s leave this unfortunate trend to the likes of Rachel Bilson.

Black Charlotte Olympia Paloma satin platform pumps completed her look.
