Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: October 2010

Nicky Hilton, Garcelle Beauvais and Brandy also attended the Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills this weekend.

Nicky wore a very elegant red Missoni Arabella crochet-knit gown with Dana Davis heels and a wide waistband.

Normally we only see Nicky wearing a mini dress or a leather jacket, so this is a refreshing change.

Garcelle looked like a beautiful Goddess wearing a Monique Lhuillier navy gown with a beaded shoulder detail dress.

She added Dana Davis heels, a black clutch and a silver Neil Lane ring.

Brandy looked equally glamorous wearing a white Nicole Miller draped gown with an embellished bodice.

A gold clutch and silver bracelet completed her look.

Thandie Newton was on PIX11 Morning News in the US today with her co-star Tessa Thompson, to talk about their roles as troubled sisters Tangie and Nyla in the new Tyler Perry movie “For Colored Girls”.

The movie has been adapted from Ntozake Shange’s 1975 play “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf”.

The movie reveals different issues that impact women in general and women of colour in particular.

Janet Jackson, Anika Noni Rose and Phylicia Rashad also star in the movie.

Thandie arrived at the CW Studios flying the British flag – as she always does – wearing a Vivienne Westwood Red Label Spring 2011 suit.

Her grey Westwood is incredibly chic. I love the sharp tailoring and the tapered pants.

Thandie looks amazing no matter what she wears.

The fresh-faced beauty added red studded Stella McCartney peep-toes and carried a brown suede Miu Miu horn-strap tote to complete her look.

“For Colored Girls” opens in theaters on November 5.
