Michelle Monaghan In Versace – “Due Date” LA Premiere

This is how you work a Versace dress.

I hope you are taking notes January Jones.

Michelle Monaghan looked amazing wearing this red hot Versace Spring 2011 dress on the red carpet last night for the “Due Date” LA Premiere.

She has what January often lacks when wearing Versace: Attitude, sex appeal and confidence in what she’s wearing. All this things are vital in order to pull off a Versace dress.

Her mini dress with clear panels on the shoulders and waist has been shortened from the runway to take it from at photocall look to a red carpet look.

Lord knows how but Michelle will find herself a place on the BDOTW poll.

Nude Christian Louboutin pigalles heels and a sexy “yes I know I look good” smile completes this fabu look.

This fiery tangerine mini with sheer panels along the neckline is definitely a winning choice for Michelle!! Love her side swept hair and nude pointy toe heels finishes her look!!! Perfection achieved to our favorite fashionista!!!

Michele turns on the red carpet ever so often (take note Kerry Washington, Bosworth) but when does she gives it 110%

  3. Linda October 29, 2010 at 22:58 #

Wow, she looks so modern, confident and gorgeous. One of the best dresses ever.

Though Michelle does looks fabulous in this dress. I think January holds her own with Versace too but she’s always messing up on the hair or the shoes. I think she perfectly has the attitude and class. She mostly looks pretty good wearing Versace all the time. At least it isn’t hideous styling. Just missing a few key components. But I do like the runway version better (so hopefully some one wears it to a photocall or somewhere, its so pretty and sophisticated).

Did you.. delete my comment or something?

    • Fashion Critic October 29, 2010 at 20:04 #

      Nope…I’ll check the spam box

She does look pretty beautiful. I still like January better, she’s more interesting. The problem with this dress are the sleeves. If you are not SUPER skinny, and you wear this, those sleeves will make your arms incredibly LARGE.

  7. Jones19 October 29, 2010 at 18:13 #

Whoa she puts January to shame! Work it girl.

  8. Laura October 29, 2010 at 17:40 #

Awesome attitude and I love the modifications. The shorter length works better on Michelle and the red is great with her brown hair.

  9. SarahV October 29, 2010 at 17:23 #

    She looks very sexy indeed!
Not sure how I feel about the shoes though, they match her skintone a little too well… Looks like she has pointy feet!

Attitude and sex appeal? She looks like she has an eating disorder.

I would have preferred to see her in the runway version.

  11. mochababe73 October 29, 2010 at 15:41 #

I like it as well. The dress in its shortened version looks very modern but has a mod ’60s appeal to it.

  12. Hisadora October 29, 2010 at 15:12 #

Perfection!! I love this look from head to toe, she looks absolutely flawless! Her pose is just awesome!

  13. Melissa October 29, 2010 at 14:48 #

Oh yes – that is hot! Versace from head to toe!

  14. Victor October 29, 2010 at 14:37 #

Oh please.. =( I don’t think she deserves the BDOTW poll.. she’s gonna steal someone’s place!
I do prefer the runway longer version AND heels. Those nude heels are boring to me.

    • mm October 29, 2010 at 15:00 #

i prefer the runway longer version also.

      • mol October 29, 2010 at 16:59 #

Ditto. And no to the nude heels too…

  15. Claudia October 29, 2010 at 14:10 #

    You said it.
    She looks divine

  16. Mario October 29, 2010 at 13:52 #

Holy shit. This seriously amazing, the Louboutins finish it off perfectly for me. It’s really sexy. Stunning.
Aaaalthough, I HATE the fact that celebs started wearing Spring 2 weeks after fashion week ended. I mean come on, at least wait for a few months! It’s really ridiculous how they wear everything right away and then clothes become boring. Well of course they’d be boring since you wore them half a year before season!

Hi, it was in the spam folder. Comments with swear words go to the spam folder

  17. Alicat October 29, 2010 at 13:48 #

The dress looks much sexier worn shorter and in the red colour. She looks fabulous.

  18. Gaber October 29, 2010 at 13:45 #

I REALLY dislike nude heels, but here they look stunning. Although I am not sure I adore them as much as the runway shoes.
As for the dress – I have issues with it. It looks VERY flight-attendant-like. Not a fan of the length, what it does to her shoulders and the cut-outs quite bother me.
I prefer it on the model, but even there I take issue with the cut-outs.

    • KateS November 1, 2010 at 04:12 #

I agree about the cut-outs – I’m not sure that the underarms are an ideal place to highlight with a very striking design detail.

    I LOVE IT!

    This is my BDOTW !

  21. lici_u October 29, 2010 at 13:18 #

I like the look, but I prefer the longer runway version.

    • maria October 29, 2010 at 16:41 #

same here. I thought it looked more interesting with more length.

  22. Vidhya October 29, 2010 at 13:05 #

    red hot perfection

  23. elsa October 29, 2010 at 13:05 #

flawless! contestant for best dress of the year for sure.

    • Fashion Critic October 29, 2010 at 13:28 #

i agree. she always brings it

  24. Karis October 29, 2010 at 12:58 #

This week’s BDOTW is going to be ridiculously difficult to choose I think, love the look 🙂

  25. Jen October 29, 2010 at 12:56 #

I love Michelle. I’m not completely familiar with her work as an actress, but she is so much fun to watch on the red carpet. She always impresses me.

  26. Hannah October 29, 2010 at 12:55 #

I agree, with BDOTW. She deserves a place. I adoreJanuary Jones, and I tihnk she is a great Versace girl, but Michelle puts her to shame. Take notes people, without the attitude the dress is not the same.

    • LUCY GOOSY October 30, 2010 at 00:05 #

Am I missing something?…..Did January Jones were the same dress and it looked awful? Does anyone have any pics of this?

      • Fashion Critic October 30, 2010 at 09:18 #

January Jones has been the unofficial brand ambassador for Versace since last year

        I’m not convinced she’s a Versace girl.

      • Hannah October 30, 2010 at 15:33 #

Basically she always wear Versace, as FC said unofficial Versace ambassador, and she always looks nice, but she doesnt have the oozing sex appeal and confidence, or really that thing that makes a Versace girl a Versace girl. Basically she looks nice, but doesnt have, as Carrie (SATC) would put it (in a different context), that za za zhou.

        • Fashion Critic October 30, 2010 at 17:48 #

yes…the doesn’t have the za za zhou.

          perfectly explained.
