Keira Knightley ended up having 3 looks last yesterday to promote “Last Night” during the 2010 Rome Film Festival.
For the photocall she wore Chanel.
To the premiere she wore Valentino and for the dinner party she wore Chanel again.
I loved that she totally stripped down her Chanel Spring 2011 black and grey ensemble and made it as effortless and simple as possible.
The black pumps totally work on this rare occasion for me.
I think I prefer this look to the photocall look.

I agree with you Pearl! You are one hundred percent right! I did some photoshoping with Keira in the same outfit with the necklace and it has a WOW factor…..without it….it looks too simple….I guess after 3 costume changes in the same day her fashion since was on simple mode……any way with this simple look she could have worn a bold silver cuff on her arm to give it some pizzazz.

Had she kept the belt I would have really really loved it; as it is, I just really really like it.
She needed a belt, the necklace, some strappy, silver shoes, or anything to bring some ooomph to the dress. It almost doesn’t look anything like the red carpet version. And, I am tired of seeing these pretty dresses being worn with the sleeves too long. Is this a trend that I missed?

Maybe it’s just me, but without the necklace, the look feels very Addams Family to me. A statement necklace would’ve given the look some spark.
I love this look over the photo call one – this is classy and just utterly simply beautiful. Her Valentino dress is my BDOTW though. If we had a red carpet BDOTW and a more casual BDOTW this would win for the latter rather than the former.
