Rihanna was at the 5th Avenue Barnes & Noble bookstore in New York City yesterday to meet her fans and sign copies of her new book “Rihanna: Rihanna”.
The book is packed with behind the scenes photos from RiRi’s “Last Girl On Earth” world tour.
I love her floral Jean Paul Gaultier dress which she paired with nude Christian Louboutin heels.
It a refreshing change from all the crazy street style looks she usually give us.
I think she toned down her look because she was aware that she would be meeting many young fans.
As much as I’m still not 100% loving the red hair, I love the way she’s styled it.
I have a feeling this will be a marmite dress. You’ll either love it or hate it.
What say you?

I like it.
I read in an interview that she is done with the edgy and is now on florals.
Yeah, I hate it.
The print is really heavy, there is a ton of fabric all over the place but her boobs are still falling out.
She looks like a prude hooker.
lol exactly right. It’s badly fitted, weird trashy/prim aesthetic.
She loook so refreshing
luv luv! Better hair color too
I really like it, and while I still HATE the red hair (it’s so “obvious” and contrived), it is styled rather elegantly.
Absolutely LOVE it!!!
I like the dress, i love the prints. Surely its far harder and more savy to dress uniquely – like this than it is to go completely overboard as she has a tendancy to.
I think it is amazing. I doubt she has given up ‘edgy’ but a refreshing change is still always welcome (take note Miley and taylor).
It is not the best I have ever seen her look by a long mile, but i tis really nice to see.
I also love the way she has styled her hair, although I would prefer it if it wasn’t bright red.
LOVE THE OUTFIT. Finally something ravishing.
Don’t understand who said or why the hell she thinks red hair looks good for her.
you’re so right about loving it or hating it, it just resembles the sort of dodgy curtains you find in caravans. She can do so much better than this.
Those colours seem to be washing her out…
I can’t say I love it, she looks a bit matronly. Maybe if the skirt was just below the knee…
I agree! nice style change, but she can do better!
i have a similar haircut, and am having a hard time trying to grow it out too. but at least it isn’t red
How come you dont like her red hair? I think its a nice, more “girly”change from the whole rock thing she tried. Now, THAT didnt quite work for me.
I guess I am just a Rihanna hoe, but I find it very difficult not to like anything she wears. Even stuff I would just hate on anyone else. I think she has an amazing and unique style and I am pretty much willing to follow her anywhere.
LOL!! you got it bad
I like the dress and the shoes. But from the neck up, everything is tragic. The makeup is too light and that hair… it’s not just the color. I can see her weave tracks for crying out loud.
It is an okay look for me. I am a big fan of florals but not loving this. Does she have on pearl earrings-now that is not believable after all that hard core “i’ma rockstar”
I guess I like marmite cause I really do love this, it’s a breath of fresh air to me. Rihanna is setttling into her uniqueness and pulling things off with regularity – I love the long lavender nails too.
Old lady church dress or something picked up at a Goodwill store – I’m going to disagree w/everyone on this look. I truly hate it.
old-lady-in-church, right!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she only needs a white hat and paired gloves to complete the look! hehehe
Her nails! Could they be any more trashy? But I like that she toned things down.
This girl is just gorgeous! I love this look, her hair is so chic and the dress is simply wonderful
i hate it all.. the dress and especially the length of it, those pointy pumps, those hideous nails.. yuck. i prefer her street style.
Ewwww hate it!!! Hate it!!!!
Love it!!
I think this may be the second time since Rihanna became a household word that I’ve been able to say I like her dress. This is such a lovely toned-down look for her. Could be better without the red hair, but it’s still a nice change.
She has no true sense of style or fashion. The pendulum of her choices swings from one extreme to the other to get a reaction. Perhaps she regards this as edgy, but I will use a word used by Lara above, which is contrived. Why would you go from barely there cut out cocktail dresses, to Gumby-like jump suits to this grannyesque look? And then team them all with bright red hair all in the space of weeks?
As is, I do hate it. But if it were above the knee–a cute patterned shirtdress, I could definitely love it on her.
She looks like an old lady going to formal night at the bingo hall. Hate it.
unfortunately, I HATE it!
What about those nails?.. ick, nast!
I hate it. I have a feeling she’s gonna overdose on floral prints after her comment about being over the edgy stuff and into florals now.
A different look but doesnt she look so beautiful. Not loving the shoe choice though
I think she looked really cute and so beautiful. It’s funny because I don’t think that I’d like this dress on any other girl… Also the earrings are really chic even though they’re a little too big in my opinion. ^_^
I have to confess that I’m still loving her hair and that’s something that’s not going to change that soon… ^_^
