Emma Roberts attended the Escada store opening in Munich, Germany last night.
The young actress wore a shimmering Escada Fall 2010 tube dress with Brian Atwood ‘Wagner’ heels and a taupe box clutch.
Her dress does dazzle on it’s own, but once again I’m missing some more accessories with this look.
Or is it the hair and make-up that feel a bit flat?
I can’t decide.

i think it’s the hair and make up. she’s pale, the dress is silver and that shade of blonde hair is washing her out – a tiny bit more blush or some colour on her lips would have helped a lot (and going back to her darker hair would help, too)
I agree. Maybe if the hair was a straight blow out also.
Agree completely
I love this look, from head to toe. The dress is amazing and thank God she wore those cute peep toes instead of black pumps.
i love this look,it’s awesome!
Disagree. The minimal makeup and jewelry keep her looking fresh-faced and age appropriate. Additional work in either department would have been overkill. Love this!
Yeah, she looks perfect the way she is. Youthful and fresh.
It’s not just the hair and makeup that are flat, it’s her personality that never seems to shine through any of her looks. Perhaps it’s her youth but she seems a pale imitation of Julia, she needs some time to mature into herself before she is believable in high fashion.
Boring, like an average girl going on a disco, forgetting her make up.
The dress is so pretty, I love her look here but it looks like she’s always wearing the same shoes !
I like the dress, and the hair keeps it from looking too “homecoming.” What I don’t like is the bare neck and the make-up. A necklace and some more drama in the make-up would’ve helped a lot.
I think its fine. But not BDOTW worthy, you know?
I agree with you FC. It seems a bit flat.. maybe with a hot pink lipstick seemed better…
You are so right! Hot pink, maybe a fuchsia, would work!
Fuchsia would be good too! Would give some edge to the look.
She looks better as a brunette. It gives her face more definition. If she darkened her hair, she wouldn’t look so washed out. Love the look in any case. The outfit is young, easy and fun.
Well this girl ever get it right?
YAWN! Her style is so boring.
I like the dress, she could use “bolder” accessories, the shoes are cute but ordinary. For what concerns hair and make up I think it’s her style, she’s very young and fresh, she has all the time to get used to make-up. I also think that she has already a good sense of style, which I hope she’ll improve. in Italy we would say she’s a “water and soap” beauty, which is a compliment.
I believe it’s the hair, she looks better being a brunette.
I think the problem is that she looks a bit too thin and physically weak – she’s starting to get that “lollipop” thing going on, which is particularly worrying in someone so young. A few good meals might give her the health and energy she needs in order to sparkle as much as the dress.
nICE dRESS BUT DOESNT HAVE THE ATTITUDE TO PULL IT OF! I WONDER WHY DOES SHE GO FROM BLONDE TO BRUNNET TO BLONDE AGAIN!
