Freida Pinto walked the red carpet looking stunning at the 2010 Abu Dhabi Film Festival “Miral” Premiere last night.
She looked picture perfect beaming a high wattage smile while posing on the red carpet wearing a Marchesa Resort 2011 dress.
Her strapless dress with a jeweled sweet-heart neckline bodice isn’t quite the same dress which was presented.
Apart from the colour, the dress also has a different skirt.
The runway dress has a full pleated skirt, whilst Freida’s version has a wrap skirt which drapes from the waist.
Once again Freida made the right choice.
The Indian beauty complemented her dress with a gold Roger Vivier clutch and shoes plus Bulgari jewels.
Her hair was styled in loose waves and she wore fresh face makeup.
We’ve seen Freida in Dior, Alexander McQueen and now Marchesa.

either this or alexander mcqueen. she looks beautiful in both. i love how she went for the vibrant pink and the drape modification…has this very indian sari style to it. but i still prefer the runway version a tiny bit more…

I like this dress over the other looks (although they’ve all been pretty good!).
Has this dress been worn by someone else, it looks so familiar. I don’t know if i’ve just seen lots of pictures of it on the model or if someone else has actually worn it..
Personally, I prefer the original pleated skirt, but this one works for Freida. Definitely prefer this look for BDOTW. Love the color.

I’d go for the McQueen. Although the colour of the dress looks great on her and the top half is stunning, the skirt and the middle portion of the dress does nothing for her great figure. It makes her look wider around the waist, the skirt is kinda shapeless and there’s something off with the way the shoes are showing from under it. I do prefer the skirt on the model.
I agree with you Shruti. I was just about to post something like what you said. The skirt makes her look thick in teh middle.

Just saw a HQ over at GFY and it’s obscenely gorgeous.
Definitely my BDotW.
For some reason, I didn’t like this look at all. The dress doesn’t flatter her at all, making her look shapeless (straight – no waist). Maybe it’s the skirt? And the color, since it’s bright pink, doesn’t pop. She’s still lovely though.
I think this is an okay look, but you’re right – the top of the dress is too boxy. A more defined waist would have sold me on this.
(of course, she does look stunning as usual regardless)

THIS ONE for BDOTW! I love how it has an indian sari-esque feel to it and the colour is amazing. Also don’t mind the skirt, think she could have pulled off either one.
The McQueen was amazing too but this is just fabulous on her.

McQueen easily. She was a breath of fresh air in that look. This, on the other hand, I’m not too big of a fan of. For one, taking away the white and fan pleating from the dress really takes away a lot of the appeal of the dress. And the proportions of the jeweled top to the rest of the dress seem off on Freida. Not a bad look but I like the McQueen one so much more.
Perfect! BDOTW worthy! I love her color change. It made the dress different than the runway, which looks like other Marchesa dresses. Freida I love you!

I prefer the runway version. Ithink the skirtinparticular looks nicer, and the proportion i sslightly off, but Freida looks beauitful. My favourite was the McQueen.
I prefer the white version of the dress.
Im starting to tire of Marchesa as I think they are just recycling clothes into all the seasons.

this has the bottom of a spring 2010 gown. shame i had katy perry dreams for that dress. i guess that aint gonna happen then now
I am torn. I love the runway version better than Freida’s. The color is beautiful, but I think that she should have worn it in white. And, I understand why she didn’t wear the pleating. It probably would have overwhelmed her petite frame.
Are people getting insane? Freida doesn’t make positive points in some years. Guess she doesn’t have a stylist anymore.
That’s such a shame, a used to expect so much about her in her Millionaire times.
no carolina…obviously you are getting a bit insane to think that she doesnt give us great looks . and if she doesnt have a stylist i am even more glad becuase it means we get to see that her style is pretty darn amazing too! Love the mcqueen look but the marchesa is appropriate for this occassion. i personally love the mcqueen
