20th Annual Environmental Media Awards – Eva Mendes In Lela Rose

Eva Mendes attended the Environmental Media Awards in California going for a full on Hollywood glamorous look.

She wore an ivory Lela Rose brocade Spring 2011 dress fresh off the runway.

Her brocade full skirted dress looses some of it’s pouf off the runway, but this is quite common.

She surprisingly didn’t opt for black Casadei pumps because on this occasion they are navy which matched her navy Cesare Paciotti clutch.

Nice look, shame about the tan lines on her bust.

I love this look because it is so Eva. Tan lines are part of life. It’s not that big of a deal really. I don’t know how I feel about her losing the runway belt.

It definitely needs that definition of the belt

The cut of that dress is beautiful

Lataly she’s not dressing so good.
This is a very nice dress, but looks dead on her..

Some issues with the way she’s presented it. the hair isn’t pretty at all. The girls pushed out like that also takes away from the elegance of the dress. The shoes are too heavy. Also, the length is weird on her. Looks better on the model. I think its a gorgeous dress and would love for it to be presented better by someone else. As is, it looks like she’s somewhat stretched it down and taken the life out of it.

Oh also, the belted version on the model is more flattering I think.

This is a runway look that doesn’t wear well in real life. It’s gone limp and flat. The heavy shoes aren’t helping, either. Eva is always beautiful, but this isn’t one of her better efforts.

The heavy pumps ruin the look more so the tan lines. Plus it looks completly limp and lifeless compared to the runway

The runway version is a little shorter. I would have preferred that Eva had worn it shorter as well. Her hair looks undone, and I think that hte shoes are too heavy.

Admittedly she hasn’t put much effort into the accessories or grooming, but I love the shape on her and she always looks great in these soft metallic shades.

This is a very beautiful dress on the runway. Modifications have ruined it. The assymetrical structuring and hemline on the runway have been lengthened by Eva over the left hip and knee so making the skirt appear limp. Also, the slightly higher waistline accentuated by the belt as worn by the model looks infinitely better. There is too much decolletage on show as well. The choice of navy pumps and navy clutch is regretable – just too heavy and dark for such a dress. She has ruined a beautiful dress. Hopefully it gets another spin by someone who does it justice.

lovely dress, she should have kept the runway belt, and had it a lil shorter, the runway proporties are perfect and a lil lost on Eva.

If the dress didn’t hang so low on her boobs, the tan line wouldn’t be an issue and it’d look a ton better. Also, as many are saying, the belt would help a lot. And I don’t love her shoes with this look.

can someone PLEASE tell Eva that the secretary look just ridiculous is? she is way too old to play the nice girl. Come on honey, you’re a sexbomb, and YOU KNOW it.Assume! ok?

I don’t understand why dresses can’t look the same OTR and in real life. Don’t the designers want their clothes to look as good as possible everywhere? Eva is a beautiful woman, but this dress just drags her down. The heavy pumps don’t help either.

I really don’t like this at all.
