You may look at these Iris van Herpen X United Nude heels and think Aliens have landed, but they are a hot favourite with celebs right now.
Solange Knowles gave them their red carpet debut when she sat front row at Charlotte Ronson’s Spring 2011 fashion show, and since then Kim Kardashian and Louise Roe have been spotted wearing them.
The United Nude shoes were created ats part of a collaboration with Iris van Herpen.
The numerous thin strips of gold leather are twisted to give three-dimensional characteristics to these unique heels.
These limited edition shoes are without a doubt the statement piece of any outfit.
Do you love ‘em or hate ‘em?

If you love ‘em, you can purchase them from Browns Fashion.

I have only one word to describe them: UGLY.
and two more: broken ankle
LOL
So true.
Hate.
These are trendy. Think: do these have the longevity that Louboutin booties have??? No.
Good luck on Kim Kardashian not breaking her ankle for this. Although I’d love to see her falls flat on her gigantic ass. That would be amazing!
Truly hideous. You actually feel like reaching out and yanking the gold thingis off and then just burning them. Blech!
totally unflattering. congratulations to the designer for the efforts, but please no….
Look like a slightly more wearable (i still wouldn’t) version of the Alexander McQueen shoes. Don’t like them at all.
Terrible. They do nothing for the feet or legs..
Hate them. The same hate I have for those Armadillo McQueen heels…
my guess is the designer is blind, or atleast i am truly hoping that is the case these are one of the most hideous shoes i have seen.
scary
They look like lobster claws…
Clearly not a shoe everyone can pull off … I must say Solange definitely made them work!
Sexual fetish gear, just like most of the woman-hating footwear designers are foisting on us these days. Frederick’s of Hollywood wouldn’t have been able to sell these to hookers.
Ugh!
How Fugly!!!!
Ugly. Scary. Painful.
I swear to god, take one watermelon. Scoop out the pulp so there is space for a foot. With sticky tape, carefully attach a stapler for a heel, call it “trendy” and I GUARANTEE it, some poor celebrity will be trotting down a red carpet in ‘The Melon Shoes’ by Christmas.
Lol
Clearly inspired by the Armadillo shoes. Slightly more wearable. I think they’re great, but I don’t think that fashion must always be pretty. Sometimes funky, different, and even ugly can be wild fun.
I like ‘em, but it takes a lot of charisma and confidence to pull off something like that.
My first thought was ew, hideous, but I’m starting to not mind them on Solange.
Pretty to look at and nice to hold. But, I wouldn’t wear them with a ten foot pole.
Off topic, Solange looks a boiling, hot mess.
Ugly, attention-seeking ridiculousness. Notice the women wearing these are of a type…
extremely good point
Maybe the ugliest shoes of the world, very unflattering. Maybe without that ridiculous plateau they would be just ugly. Shoes shouldn’t be so dangerous, Armadillo are closer to a piece of art, in a certain way, I mean A. McQueen was a real genius. These shoes are simply ridiculous. I totally agree with Gretta’s comment.
Wow this is Nasty. Is this what they come up with when they run out of ideas ?…and poor celebrities fall for anything….Lol
It’s quite insane how much I LOVE these shoes when they aren’t worn.
But as soon as somebody puts them on – you realise how insanely unflattering they are.
It’s one of those things that I’d just put on a shelf somewhere and just look at them because of how intriguing they are, but at the same time, forbid anyone from actually wearing them.
Wish those shoes were never been designed.
these shoes are truly amazing. Iris Van Harpen, is not just Alexander McQueens replacement, her incredible designs are projections of the future!
And shes so young! and authentic. her designs are not fit to be worn around you guys, you cant look at them the way you look at louboutins. they are art works.
