Diane Keaton attended the 17th Annual ELLE Women In Hollywood Tribute Event last night.
The legendary actress wore a sophisticated Marni textured dress from the Fall 2010 collection.
Her chic brown textured spot sleeveless dress was paired with a black turtleneck, tights and black heels.
In general I love the look because I can totally see myself wearing it – yes even with the tights as it’s very cold in London.
My problem is that it’s not really a ‘red carpet event’ look as it feels too casual.

I want to like this, but she looks like a raccoon to me.
It’s just not flattering on Diane. The the turtleneck was a big mistake. Without turtleneck and tights she could’ve pulled it off.
This is awful. It looks like a bad Halloween costume. Is this the fashion version of Snuffaluffagus? She looks like some kind of creature. You know Diane Keaton always wears ugly stuff ’cause that’s just her taste, but let’s be real here. This dress is butt ugly.
I do not think this flatters her at all. It is shapeless – almost barrel-like. She is slim and could go for a more fitted look which would flatter her figure. Helen Mirren is a more mature lady who knows how to do this. That said, I love her hair and glasses. They give her an edgy look which makes her look younger.
She seems shapeless…terrible look, for me.
What a horrible dress. I wouldnt want it for free.
It makes me want to cry (well not really) to read comments that it is a horrible dress when I know how beautiful it can be. But I have to say if I only knew it from the picture I would have to agree.
This is the dress I wore to the Marni show but without the black turtleneck and tights. It is a simplier version t the runway version to the left. Marni is quirky enough already without Diane trying to make it quirkier. Anna Wintour also had the red version.
I think that it really is a stunning dress but needs to be worn with statement jewelry and shoes.
She does look like a raccoon. God I hope I am not deluding myself and look like one too..
No way. You don’t look like a raccoon
PS the picture tot he left is of a skirt and top. The dress is look 47.
Thank you. I was having trouble deciding which one it was.
How can people not love this? She looks amazing to me, so chic.
I agree! It’s definitely very much her style. She’s always a bit quirky and I really like this look on her.
It’s great she took a risk!she noramlly wears the same thing over and over!I think her posture isnt making the best of the dress thou and I agree FC its rather casual for the red carpet
This has to be one of the most ugliest dresses I’ve ever seen.
Completely agree. Fugly to the extreem
Her head looks really superimposed. The tights and topruin it.
I just love it when stars take risks and go for something other than the glittery figure hugging mini. We all have different tastes after all…
I’m sorry, FC but I’m adding this to my WDOTY list. It is baggy, shapeless and makes her look like a character from Sesame Street.
This is Diane Keaton, after all, and it’sactually amazing that she didn’t add army boots to the look. That said, even for Diane it’s kind of a strange — a little like a cocoon — but I bet she’s comfy and warm.
It looks as though she’s wearing a fur covered sack.
well, I love her!
