Hilary Swank, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson appear in the magazine for the “Women In Hollywood” issue.
Photographed by Carter Smith, Kate looks stunning on cover wearing one of my favourite dresses from Marc Jacobs Resort 2011 collection which we’ve seen on Leighton Meester.
The magazine hits newstands on October 20, but here are some extracts from Kate’s interview.
On learning about parenting from her mom and dad: “My mom and dad had it figured out: They never worked at the same time, and they were very conscious of making anywhere we went feel like home. When you’re working, the hours are brutal, but when you’re not working, you have all the time in the world. That’s always a difficult balance.”
On the difficulty of finding good female roles: “They are — because in most male-driven vehicles, the female parts tend to be dispensable. I have faith that we can make female-driven films that are as interesting to men as they are to women.”
On filming Almost Famous: “One of my favorite experiences. One, because I love Cameron Crowe. And two, because it was just such a wonderful movie. The whole thing was overwhelming — in the best way.”

Wow lovely covers-wish I was in my 20′s so I could wear the Marc Jacobs. Having said that this summer I was at the RL Wimbledon party where MS Paltrow deigned to spend 5 minutes . I can tell you she looks nothing like that in real life. My husband thought her very plain and he was a huge fan .
My favorite is Kate, I love the cover!

Tough call. I’ll go with Gwyneth, just because I’m a fan. Hilary is such a respectable actress and she’s got a great body, but I find it hard to warm up to her horse face. Kate … sure, Almost Famous is her best experience. Everything after that just went downhill. She almost can act.
Kate wins this one by a mile and a half.
Hilary she looks most natural and has some great energy…
I like K. Hudson’s cover but I think it seems a spring cover, I don’t know, H.Swank’s makes me think of fall, at the end of the day I prefer her cover.

Kate looks so sunny and sweet. Her figure is great and so much more natural than the skinny model also wearing the dress next to Kate’s picture. Hillary Swank seems to be wearing the same dress Kate wore at the SAGs!!
