Despite the controversy, which I will stay away from at this is a fashion site, Cheryl Cole walked onto the X Factor stage with her head held high on Saturday night.
The judge wore a Daniel Vosovic Spring 2011 asymmetrical LBD which the designer had presented during New York Fashion Week.
The designer will be more familiar to those in the US as he was on Project Runway.
Cheryl’s LBD was paired with Valentino bow-embellished satin sandals and De Grisogono jewels.
I do love the dress, its sexy and sweet at the same time.
I do prefer that you can see more of the lace underlay on the runway, but I totally understand that Cheryl needed more coverage for a TV show.
Who wins Saturday nights style battle?
Cheryl or Dannii?

Who Was Your Best Dressed On Day 4 of Cannes Film Festival 2013?

Round 1 goes to DANNII
She looked simply perfect, love the hair and make up and the dress is beautiful.
Cheryl looked like an orange pumpkin Wag. Like the dress and shoes but way to simple for an X factor show. I was disappointed as I was expecting a WOW from her. Ditch the fake tan Chezza!!
Danni it is!! gotta love her in that dress.
She looks sexy but Dannii ‘s sophisticated look wins for me!
Danii for me too. I loved Cheryl’s dress, but I prefered the runway version and I hated the shoes. At least her hair is looking good, so that’s an improvement from last year. Also, she does look overtly orange.
I totally agree. She reminds me of the days VB went through an orange phase.
Oh can we have a weekly “Cheryl vs Dannii” poll? one of my favourite thing about the live shows – the fashion!
Dannii wins this one for me, the lace detail was gorgeous and hair and make up was flawless, cheryl looked abit tangoed
danii definitely wins. wow, danii looks sooooo breathtaking, that dress is a work of art and i love her hair and her red lipstick
Danni for sure!
It is better on the runway. I am bored of it on Cheryl.
I am bored of Cheryl. I really miss the days when it was just Louis SImon and Sharon, she would always pull out a showstopper. Apparently gone are the dasy of elegant gowns and a million jewels.
Prefer runway version because of lace, pale skin tone and model’s killer legs
Between Cheryl and Danii – it’s a tie for me
Dannii definitely wins this round.
Cheryl looked even more orange on TV than she does in this photo – her hair was the only thing I liked.
Danii looked amazingg. Love the dress and her lighter hair.
Cheryl looked good too,
Week 1 goes to Danni in my opinion
Cheryl looks just gorgeous, these sandals are amazing!!!! I love their looks, but I think Cheryl looks better
I do LOVE Cheryl and her in this dress. What ruins it for me is the tan. Too fake and too obvious.
Love the earrings!
Dannii is my favourite! That lace dress is quite something.
i prefer runway version..moreover, altought her valentino’s shoes are very cute they shorter her legs!!
danni for me too! loved cheryls hair/makeup and earings though.
Dannii wins this round hands down. Stunning.
Cheryl bored me.
Im glad that Cheryl started off with something fairly subtle. She has got a long fashion road ahead of her with this series and the LBD was a safe yet sassy option. I can’t wait to see all of the copycat versions of those earrings on the highstreet… as long as they are more glam, less Christmas bauble!
I prefer the runway version of the dress. It would have been fine for TV. Congrats Daniel Vosovic — another Project Runway alum does good!
i still think that cheryl lacks both character and personality, she is young, sexy beautiful but that it’s, there’s always something missing about this look… so danii wins this one for me.
Danni
First of all – the shoes are so good that it hurts!
Now, while I do prefer the runway version, it matters little on this occasion – I just LOVE Cheryl in this.
My favourite look out of the 4.
This would certainly be on of my BDotW short-list!
Cheryl wins, for me. And I LOVE the bow-embellished sandals, so beautiful!!!
the dress is stunning although i don’t really think she accessorised it well. the shoes are nice but they definitely do not go with that dress and her earrings are a bit too rock for such a delicate lacy dress.
Definitely Dannii as she looked amazing! Also, while I understand why Cheryl had to modify her dress, I prefer the runway version.
