I keep saying it, but the ankle boot trend isn’t going away anytime soon.
During New York Fashion Week, Olivia Palermo didn’t take her seat in the front row of several shows unless she was wearing her grey suede Proenza Schouler booties.
I can just about take the booties with each look, but I can’t accept them with her red Marchesa dress.
They don’t work for me at all with this dress.

I still cant believe she is seen a s a fashion icon. That title is thrown around too often
I agree. Selena Gomez as a fashion icon? NO WAY.
Anyways, Olivia’s booties only work for the second look.
Totally agree. There are SO many unworthy “fashion icons”.
I love her style. But i wouldnt not call her a fashion icon either.
I love the fact she will wear the heck out of her accessories. i agree, a total no with the red dress.
I love them, but they don’t work with every look, especially not that Marchesa dress. And would it kill her to wear a different color occasionally? I often wear boots with dresses, but that is because I broke my ankle years ago and can’t balance on high heels anymore. I need the support from the boots.
I only like the booties with the first look.
I agree. They look terrible with the other dresses.
I dont like the booties with the Marchesa dress , more because Georgina Chapman owns that dress when she wore it last with matching heels.
and Lake Bell
oh yes
Not keen on ankle boots with dresses and definitely agree that these jar with the Marchesa dress – not a good look at all! She obviously loves them, but I think it’s time to hide these beneath some autumn trousers.
“I can just about take the booties with each look, but I can’t accept them with her red Marchesa dress.: -LOL – that’s the exact thought I had upon seeing these pics!
I detest booties and dresses. So, for me, they don’t work on any of the outfits.
They look comfy…probably aren’t but they are tempting
I like Olivia Palermo’s Style, even if it’s too colored, I saw her wearing a lot of green and yellow, which I dislike. Usually I like the way she dresses, very personal, that’s why I consider her, more or less, a fashion icon, but the red dress with those grey booties… terrible, was it raining outside so she couldn’t wear pumps or sandals?
Alright no…she can give those freakin boots a rest!
