Red Carpet Fashion Awards

This weekend Christina Aguilera attended the opening of The Lynda & Stewart Resnick Exhibition Gala held in LA at the LACMA.

The singer showed off her sexy fuller figure wearing a silk chiffon Atelier Versace Spring 2008 gown.

Her champagne coloured low back gown was embellished with champagne and gold beads around the waist.

This is the 2nd Atelier Versace gown Christina has worn this year.

The reason why this works so well, is because she has the right attitude to carry such divalious gown.

She’s modified the gown so she’s not showing off too much boobage, which she may not have done 5 years ago.

My only problem with this look is the hair and make-up.

Pop princess Kylie Minogue and Jada Pinkett-Smith were front row at the Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 show last night.

Kylie was a little bit late, but she was worth the wait.

The gorgeous star looked breath-takingly beautiful wearing a Emilio Pucci Fall 2010 gold mini dress with matching heels.

Now we can see what a perfect match Kylie and Pucci are.

Bryan Boy captured her arrival on video (55 secs).

Jada opted for a bold colour over a dazzling mini.

Her blood red Emilio Pucci Fall 2010 ensemble made sure the petite actress stood out in the front row.

It looks like she opted to wear her red suede pants back to front.

The Marni Spring 2011 woman is athletic and her style is inspired by sports uniform references.

The sports theme was seen in the day wear which included flared tops paired with a skirt which was sometimes also paired with leggings or cycling shorts.

We also saw tropical print dresses in both mini and maxi lenghts.

For the evening the pieces became more glizzy with coloured paillettes, lace, and beaded embroidery details.

The typically bright colour palette included bright yellow, electric blue, green, orange and pink.

All the models wore aviator caps with messy back-combed hair poking out from underneath it.

Other keys accessories included bags, sandals, tinted sunglasses and sculptured necklaces.

Favourites: Tropical blue dress and pink double flounced hemmed pants paired with asymmetrical on top

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Chloe Sevigny and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Charlotte aka Style Cartel and myself were like kids in a candy store at the Fendi re-see which took place the day after the show.

The whole Spring 2011 collection was on display.

Bags were on shelves, accessories on pedestals and the ready-to-wear pieces hung on the rails with a picture of the model wearing the look.

It was great to see the details up close and touch the fabrics whilst wishing were available now.

Many of you asked about the Fendi Peek-a-boo within my review of the show.

The showroom was Peek-a-boo heaven.

Every colour and fabric imaginable was on display.

I think I’ll be trying to get a Peek-a-boo for Spring. My problem now is which one as they are all so beautiful.

I was particularly keen to look at the accessories up close. Especially my favourite pieces from the show.

Here I am striking a pose with the clutch carried by Freja and wearing the sunglasses worn by Abbie.

Spring 2011 can’t come soon enough.

Much like Cate Blanchett last week, Odette Yustman won Best Dressed Of The Week by a huge margin wearing her stunning burnt orange J. Mendel Resort 2011 gown.

The actress oozed old Hollywood glamour with her loose waves, red lips and silver Kotur clutch to complete the look.

Worthy winner.

Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 was very rock and roll with plenty of sex appeal.

We saw plenty of laces, but not just on the heels. Shirts and dress had a deep plunge held together by the lace up details.

When you think of Pucci, you think of prints and plenty were to be seen. Peter Dundas updated the ‘Pucci print’ to give it a fresh take.

Sexy cut-outs, long flowing dresses and caftans with sexy slits on a colour palette of yellow, orange, brown, black, blue and white had me drooling.

We also saw shorts, schoolboy blazers, flared pants, coats and gilets.

The Pucci woman isn’t afraid of showing off her body.

With the plunging necklines and high hemlines Peter Dundas made her very happy with this collection.

Key accessories included fringed satchels, clutches, Alex Rose-style bandanas, gold jewelry and pin thin strappy heels.
