Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Who would’ve thought Rihanna and Jennifer Garner would be seen wearing the same clothes.

They both wore this Stella McCartney Guipure-lace shift dress from the Pre-Fall 2010 collection recently.

Rihanna wore the dress first when attending her tour after-party at the Greenhouse in New York back in August.

She matched the hair to the soles of her Louboutin’s and added green eyeshadow to complete her look.

Jennifer wore her dress to “The Town” Toronto Film Festival premiere with plain black platform pumps and a cream clutch.

Unlike Rihanna, Jennifer wore a bra with her dress, but unfortunately it’s poking out from under her dress.

Rihanna’s dress is more fitted and I prefer her black pumps so she wins for me.

Their Stella McCartney dress is available to purchase from Net-A-Porter, Browns Fashion and Matches Fashion.

Simple and gorgeous.

Those are the two words that came to mind when I saw Lea Michele on the red carpet at PETA s 30th Anniversary Gala and Humanitarian Awards, which was held in LA this weekend.

The “Glee” actress has been frustrating inconsistent on the red carpet as she looks amazing for major events, then tries and fails for everything in between.

This was good. No it’s amazing.

When she’s not trying too hard she gets her look spot on.

I adore her Jose Duran ivory gown. It’s sexy, chic and elegant all at the same time.

I love that she’s supporting an up-and-coming designer.

Satin ivory complementary Jimmy Choo heels, Tiffany jewelry and a Swarovski clutch completed her look.

Are you loving this as much as I do?

I attended the Bulgari Presents Matthew Williamson Cocktail Party last night as part of Milan Fashion Week.

I was shocked to see Rachel Bilson there.

I’m quite tall, so I towered over the tiny and petite actress.

As much as I complain about Rachel’s reasons for being on the red carpet as she never had anything to promote, I have to admit she did look beautiful at the event.

She wore a black Christian Fall 2010 silk and lace dress.

It was quite a coolish night, so I’ll forgive the blazer, but I wish she’d taken it off just once so we could see more of her dress.

She added Brian Atwood nude suede ‘Marlo’ pumps and a white Chanel quilted clutch to her look.

I was really happy to see Jennifer Garner wearing something other than the lumberjack shirt and the mom jeans she lives in when she’s “off-duty”.

This weekend she attended the 6th Annual Pink Party in LA wearing a Stella McCartney Fall 2010 ensemble.

Her daring look incorporated the fuschia satin tunic with a tail paired with a white paillette silk-organza skirt.

I want to say I love the look, but I’m struggling.

We ask celebs to take more risks and break up runway looks, but I don’t like the white skirt.

I always ask celebs to be more adventurous with their shoes, but her pink pumps complement the carpet more than her ensemble.

The final nail in the coffin are the pearl necklaces which are just way too much.

As Coco Chanel once said, “always take one thing off before you leave the house.”

In this case it should’ve been those 14 necklaces.

Milan Fashion Week was celebrity light, but that all changed today as Taylor Swift, Rachel Bilson, Heidi Klum and Leona Lewis were all front row Roberto Cavalli’s Spring 2011 presentation.

Taylor Swift – who was no doubt shopping many pieces from this collection – was head to toe in Cavalli.

She wore an ivory chiffon blouse paired with a satin tiered mini skirt, patterned tights and grey lace-up boots.

Rachel Bilson added a chic black Willow blazer to her printed Cavalli print mini dress which she teamed with booties.

Heidi Klum would’ve made Cavalli happy by wearing an animal print blouse.  The rest of her look included a black leather jacket and loose fitting pants.

Leona Lewis got lost on her way to her interview at Barclays Bank.

What a way to let us Brits down.  The US and Germany have all been well represented here.
