Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Monthly Archives: September 2010

Despite our dreary weather we sure know how to do colour in London.

Whilst New York Fashion Week gave us lots of nude and neutrals, London is bold and colourful.

Christopher Kane’s Spring 2011 presented a fun collection of neon colours of yellow, orange, pink and green.

He mixed simple silhouettes with futuristic colours and bold prints.

Soft lace, jersey prints, laser cut leather and argyle tops were presented with signature ‘sexy as hell’ Giuseppe Zanotti heels with the same neon colour palette.

If anyone pairs these pieces with black pumps I’m going to lose my mind.

Yet again this is one of my favourites of the season.

Front Row: Yasmin le Bon, Anna Wintour, Carine Roitfeld and Julia Restoin-Roitfeld

Favourites: the neon yellow lace dress and the pink dress withe the embroidered details

Who do I see wearing this collection: Leighton Meester, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Rihanna, Jamie Winstone, Emma Watson, Daisy Low

Russell Brand and Katy Perry were swarmed by photographers as they prepared to depart LAX on Friday.

Amidst the chaos Russell punched a photographer, leading to his arrest.

Judging by Brand’s t-shirt he was clearly spoiling for a fight from the get go, whilst Katy was a picture of serenity wearing a delightful Philosophy Spring 2010 dress.

Her mini dress which had printed green lips was paired with a large straw hat. Unfortunately it doesn’t cover all of her purple coloured hair.

The rest of her look included a Chanel bag and gold heels.

God I love this look.

Eva Mendes looks to have finally shaken off that ‘ladies who lunch’ look she was going for and bringing back the sexy diva.

At the “Last Night” Premiere during the 2010 Toronto Film Festival the actress looked outstanding wearing an Andrew Gn Fall 2010 luxe velvety dress with a jewel accent on the hip.

In nearly all the photos she’s giving us face and booty which tells me she know she looks good in this dress.

Had you told me Eva was wearing a long sleeved black dress on the red carpet I would’ve rolled my eyes, but she’s totally working this look.

This is Rebecca Hall’s second Vionnet Resort 2011 look in as many weeks.

The British actress arrived on the red carpet at “The Town” London Premiere yesterday with Ben Affleck wearing a Vionnet Resort 2011 sheer dress with a black pattern.

Her draped dress was worn with a nude underlay and tan leather belt.

Rebecca has been making huge improvements on the red carpet and this is another winning look for me.

Nicholas Kirkwood heels with a scalloped leather trim completes her look.

For those who are wondering Blake Lively didn’t attend this premiere.

Julia Roberts looked beautiful on the red carpet at the “Eat Pray Love” Paris Premiere.

Ya’ll weren’t to happy about her Dolce & Gabbana dress, but I’m sure you’ll agree her petrol blue Lanvin draped dress is a huge improvement.

She looks 20 years younger than she did previously.

I love the accessories here. I can tell she really made a huge effort here.

The only stitch of black comes via her belt, because she wore Lanvin snake-skin pumps.

Do you see this as an improvement?

Celebrities turned out today for Lee McQueen’s Memorial service which was held at St Pauls Cathedral this morning.

They all showed their respects wearing black and pieces from Alexander McQueen’s archives.

The late designer died in February.
