Of all the presentations I’ve attended this week, the Mulberry Spring 2011 presentation was the most fun.
It was held on the roof top of Soho House and we were served champagne and Victoria sponge cakes which came served in a cute floral boxes.
All the models who walked the runway sported red wigs, no doubt a ode to Florence Welch who was front row at the presentation.
Emma Hill was inspired by Frances Hodgson Burnett’s “The Secret Garden” and the film “Gray Gardens.”
It seems like the Mulberry girl has grown up.
We still saw the girlie dresses we love from Mulberry, but they were mixed with some more formal pieces like a chestnut boucle jacket coordinated with a matching skirts, high-waisted pants and chic trench coats.

The key accessories were the shoes and bags.
Booties, wedges and sandals which all had a wooden sole and were accented with giant studs or oversized buckles.
The Bayswater bag was presented in chestnut alongside an oversized Alexa bag in plum and the Tillie drawstring shoulder bag which came in a pale blue washed denim.
After viewing this collection I’ve grown that much fonder of Mulberry bags. Every season I buy one bags. For Spring 2011 that bag will be the oversized Alexa plum tiger print bag.

Favourites: The plum leather jacket with sateen skirt, the electric blue ensemble above and the all over bow dress which closed the show

I was on a handbag website that featured the handbags. I am still not a fan of the handbags. I find that the collection that they are doing at Target more to my liking. And, I do not shop for handbags at Target.
I LOVE the clothing that you have featured. With the exception of the pants, I would wear all of it.
