The William Tempest Spring 2011 presentation took place on Monday morning at 8.30am.
It was an early start, but it was very much worth it.
The young British designer who was showing in New York for the first time, presented a beautiful collection with a colour palette of nude, coral and grey with a “splash” of raspberry and lemon.
William’s inspiration was “The Sirens’ Song,” playing upon a concept of a “half-woman, half-sea creature”.
His romantic collection totally seduced me.
Body-con mini dresses, full length dresses, asymmetrical dresses and corset jumpsuits were presented.
A wind machine gentle churned in the room which gave the draped chiffon dresses and asymmetric hemlines a beautiful motion like waves which played along perfectly with the “under the sea” theme.

The make-up was very strong considering the romantic looks, and the hair was teased into a sexy bouffant.
To complete their looks models wore Mechante of London heels.
Favourites: The corseted minidress inspired by a giant clam shell which wrapped around the models body and the lemon corset dress with a chiffon asymmetrical skirt
Front Row: Louise Roe
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Kate Moss, Emma Watson, Leona Lewis, Victoria Beckham, Leighton Meester, Emily Blunt, Natalia Vodianova, Nicola Roberts, Poppy Delevigne and Whitney Port
