For Reem Acra’s Spring 2011 presentation the designer set about creating a wardrobe for the modern American princess.
Her vintage inspired collection with a modern romance feel had a pale palette which served as a background for cool textures and the bright sparkle of delicate embroideries.
In Reem Acra’s 5th Avenue suite we were presented with a blush pink gown trimmed with feathers and nipped in with a leather belt as we arrived.
This theme of adding a leather belt with gowns continued within this collection.
We also saw day dresses, a flower power jacquard pleated dress, a haltered dress, high-waist pants paired with a racer-back tank and an antique silver mermaid gown with cascading embroidery.
Key accessories included leather belts, statement necklaces and ballerina flats.

Front Row: Kristin Cavallari and Perrey Reeves
Favourites: White high-waisted pants and gold embroidered gown
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Eva Longoria, Taylor Swift, Perry Reeves, Lea Michele, Selena Gomez, Anika Noni Rose, Emmy Rossum, Katherine Heigl, Penelope Cruz and Rose Byrne

Love the vintage 60 /70 vibe. Fantastic statement necklaces.
There’s something about this collection that makes me think of Jessica Biel as we’d like her to dress…I think it’s that the models all have their hair like she tends to wear it. Hopefully she’ll wear a few of these pieces as well!
oh me likey
defo feeling the 70s vibe and its working..
Is that long gold dress the same one that Heather Morris from Glee wore to the emmys? I think she changed the neckline though!
