Yesterday morning it rained in New York, but by the time I arrived at the venue for Malandrino’s Spring 2011 presentation it had stopped.
Thankfully it did because the presentation was held outside around the pool on the Lincoln Center Plaza.
Models were shivering on their perched platforms wearing an assortment of crochet knits, slashed dresses, chiffon dresses, jersey prints, tunic, jumpsuits, wide-legged pants and leather gladiators.
One model wore a crochet ensemble which included a crochet top and bloomers.
The colour palette consisted of mostly neutral shades of khaki, whites and brown, but we also saw bold colourful prints and denim.

Key accessories included crochet thigh high gladiators, statement necklaces, straw hats, studded sandals and fringed bags.
Favourites: The printed jumpsuit above and the peach gown

Front Row: Kristin Cavallari, Kelly Rutherford, Perry Reeves, Abigail Spencer and Keisha Whitaker
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gwen Stefani and Liv Tyler

marvellous necklaces!!! and adorable the mix between orange and fucsia!
The quality looks poor or is it i feel like i would purchase these items on vacation from the locals. I think it is the cheap looking straw hats that turn me off
Some of it is horrible, some of it I REALLY like.
I can see Michelle Monaghan wearing some of the dresses.
i’m not crazy about collection but definitely i like some pieces: like those “tights/socks” on second picture and dress on thirs picture, and i love the colours and drapings on “bra” in the last picture of the close ups…
