Derek Lam’s Spring 2011 started off with smart denims followed by clean crisp spring looks.
I thought about Celine whilst watching this presentation, because this collection had that same minimal, ultra refined elegance.
I found myself being quite blown away by this presentation.
We were presented with A-line suede skirts, poplin blouses, cashmere sweaters, ponchos, pleated skirt, chic dresses and fabulous outerwear, including a canvas trench with a swingy ruffled drape in the back.
The show ended with cool breezy maxi print dresses. It was like you could feel the sea breeze gently swirling around the tents.

Models sported voluminous 60s hair. Their make-up was clean and simple with a flash of bright red liner added to the upper eye lids.
Favourites: Printed halter maxi dress, the black sateen top paired with the embellished skirt and the khaki trench dress
Front Row: Leighton Meester, Deborah Cox and Rashida Jones
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Leighton Meeter, Rashida Jones, Thandie Newton, Robin Wright Penn, Maria Sharapova and Sarah Jessica Parker

I die for those knee length gladiator flats!!
Who are they by or are those Derek Lam as well?
Oh yes, I like this collection very much. I admit to feeling a little apprehensive at the first all denim outfit but I was completely won over when Jac walked out in the look you’ve posted on the left, I love it, it’s probably my favourite actually. The two white dresses at the closing of the show were so so lovely as well.
