Thank God Award
When I saw Selena Gomez at the 2010 MTV VMAs I thanked god several times.
Thank god it’s not another white dress.
Thank god its’s not predictable and boring.
Thank god she done something new for a change because it’s given her a whole new attitude.
Selena is really loving her Reem Acra Resort 2011 strapless silver dress with a decorative bustier.
She’s making full use of the side split to show off her legs and Sergio Rossi heels.
Many of you have been begging for her to shake things up.

I love it, but shes too young to wear somthing like this. I think this would have better suited Taylor Swift.
I think she looks really good and although this dress is kinda sexy, she still looks like a teenager, just having fun!

I dislike it. It looks like bedazzled foil. Maybe if it was a different type of fabric, it would look better. She kinda looks like a try-hard her IMO

Agreed. I think she’s cute, but it bugs me when girls feel they have to deliberately hold open that high dress split to show off their leg, that does feel a bit trashy.

I like that she tried something different, but I’m afraid I don’t like the look.
She looks like a kid wearing clothes that are too old for her. Something’s off, but I can’t put my finger on it.

I don’t quite like this look because the fabric of the dress irks me. However, I’m glad that she tried something out of her comfort zone and for that, she gets credit for her effort. Hopefully, the next event she’ll pick something just as mature but better.
I like it, it doesn’t feel inappropriate. But I wish she hadn’t picked matching shoes. Too much silver imo.
I agreee, the shoes are the only thing I don’t like….otherwise she looks very eye catching, and not so much overtly sexy as ‘just having fun’ cute and sexy.

I love this look, i think it’s out there without going overboard. She did just turn 18 so it looks like she is trying to create an older look and i think she pulls it off very well!
i actually like this look. glad she tried to do something different and the dress really suits her. she looks a lot better than the model. love her hair and accessories
it looks a little futuristic in that fabric, and in a dress-up kind of way (like robbie said – tinfoil looking)… and her pose is a bit off… so not a fan of this – but she is beautiful and good on her for trying something different.

I loved this more mature attitude of selly!
I would have loved it more if Selena or her stylist modified to make it a short length, but maybe that is too risky for her.
But it is somewhat of an improvement.

What a trashy pose! It looks like she’s trying to make the jump from kiddie star to ingenue in the media’s eye, but she’s got such a baby face and is so well known for her ‘tween fare, that I don’t think it’s going to work. Makes me uncomfortable just to see her posing like that!
